Bosch 18V HEPA Wet/Dry Vacuum GAS 18V-10L with 5Ah Battery & Fast Charger $199 + Del ($0 OnePass/ C&C/ in-Store) @ Bunnings

660

It normally costs $249 without the battery and charger so this is a great price!

This is normally used to clean up rougher dirt like plasterboard dust or sawdust that you wouldn't want to clog your Dyson with. It can also be hooked up to compatible power tools for dust collection.

Quite sure they were matching the total tools deal. So also available there if not sold out

Hmm, it's $249 at Total Tools without the battery and charger.
Sydney Tools has it for $199 but is on pre-order.

Ahh my bad..might have gotten them confused. Thanks for the correct:)

It was advertised on total tools a couple of days ago for $199 with battery. I looked in VIC and was out of stock everywhere (but delivery available). Shortly after it seemed to disappear from their website, so I ended up buying from Bunnings for $199 on the weekend.

Good unit, though if you are planning to use it as dust extractor for DIY project, you will need a larger capacity battery or have spare ones to replace.

Further info: Unit lasts 4 minutes per amp hour. So a 5 amp hour battery = 20 mins.

Thanks for the info! I was lucky enough to get the Bosch deal earlier in the year where they gave people 50% off a range of tools and batteries for failing to win a competition. Got more 8Ah batteries than I know what to do with.

        • 18v fans are good.

Probably the one piece of kit I use for 80% of jobs around the house. Whether cleaning the car, the shed, plastering, drain, sanding. Just does it all.

    • How can you go through plastering? I sucked just a bit of plaster dust with it and it almost blocked (the majority of the plaster dust I used broom and pan to get rid of, not want to risk sucking up all the dust)

Approx 270w… can't suck too well.

For those interested, this model has a 35mm click and connect hose. I bought it since it attaches directly to bosch mitre saws such as this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805534 .It also has an adapter included which attachs to some of the bosch handheld tools.

Tempted to get onto the Bosch platform with this deal to start

    • Seems like an unusual one to start but why not :) I'm pleased with my bosch angle grinder, and the big impact wrench altho it doesn't get used very often, mostly the 12V impact is plenty. tbh I had the 18V impact for a while, the convertible one whatever it's called, and it was a dud — on-off trigger/poor speed control and not much power. Sold it. I guess every manufacturer makes some turkeys. Sold all the Ryobis I started with, just really uninspiring and clumsy tools. Had a Makita impact that shook itself to bits.

    • I went with the platform when masters getting rid of drill and impact set . Over the years ozbargain have good deals on the range. I got angle grinder for $79 normally $270 from blackwoods. If can wait good deals do come up.

Amazon have good deals on Bosch blue stuff from time to time. Got their 125mm sander for around $100, it’s awesome. Got their highest torque drill for $170, normally around $400 locally. Impact for $149, normally ~$350. Once you’re in a system you can keep an eye out for deals. I monitored Amazon and found their Bosch deals were frequent. The pro-core batteries are great and worth getting, especially if part of a kit.
Ps. Don’t go for the biggest drill unless you really need it. It’s massive and less than ideal for smaller jobs. For example, balancing at the top of a ladder drilling out rivets in old guttering with a few kg worth of drill sucks.

      • Thanks. Yeah you’re right about the weight. My new Metabo is heavy because it’s big but also I only have 5+Ah batteries for it. Been meaning to look out for say 2Ah’s.

My Bosch impact driver has been great. Done a lot of work and is great quality. I have a ProCore battery for it and it lasts ages.

Thanks OP. Just purchased. Bosch 5.0ah battery alone retails at $179 at both bunnings and total tools, not that anyone would pay that.

Not that long ago Bosch had a promo where you purchased a 18v blower skin and can claim a free 4ah battery.

  • Can you hook up a eyobi or makita sander to this?
    Cheers!

    • Should be able to hook them up if the pipe fits. Otherwise you can get vacuum adaptors everywhere, even Bunnings. I'm not sure if this has the auto on through Blutooth, if it does it wouldn't work with other brands for the auto functinon, just means you have to turn the vac on manually when you are using the tool.

  • I meant ryobi not eyobi lol

    • I think I saw "eyobi" on Wish lol

  • @subywagon thanks mate

Grabbed one of these through click and collect and picked up today.

I may have been too early as I wandered into Bunnings for something else and inquired about the c&c order I'd put through this morning. The girl ran around looking for it and found it out the back wrapped up on a palette that was apparently set aside for Black Friday sales.

Anyway, she brought it out and mentioned something about me being a Onepass member - which I'm not XD She looked confused, but I explained that I'd just purchased it online, so I dunno what's going on there with Bunning's website, but I don't think I was meant to be able to purchase this yet.

    • Last weekend, I noticed the item wasn't visible if you searched for it from within the bunnings website. However, it seems google had indexed the page and therefore I found the deal on the bunnings website before it was posted here. My item I picked up also come from a pallet out the back.

Got mine to day. Great piece of kit, very happy with it.

  • anyone know if this deal is still on? or anyone willing to share receipt bummed i missed it

  • Anyone know if this is effective as a regular house vacuum (wooden floor + carpet)?

    • No, not really, the T-shape head is quite small.

      • Head shape aside, is there any other cons on using this as a home vacuum?

        • Just not designed for it… it's a cordless shop vac/dust extractor.
