  • How much are the refills usually?

    • +2

      about $32 for 100 x 25cm x 35cm bags on ebay

  • I think new bags are out

Got this one a little while ago. It does the job! I do wish I sprung for one that held the sealer bag roll. Big first world problem but something to consider when buying

  • Is this for preppers?

    • +2

Great for those of us who sous vide!

And doomsday preppers! 90 seconds to midnight! Warranty not required!!!

  • What bags to be used with it?

    • I found a few on Amazon, ~$23 for 100, down to ~$33 for 300 (depending on size)

  • tempted… but looks like there is an ongoing issue with some units..
5-10% of reviews say the vacuum function fails after warranty ends.. Sad..

  • Thanks mate

  • i have an old i beleive LG makes it. My bug bear is that there is no independent seal function, only activated by pressing down to start the vaccum. So i need to press down firmly on the open side, create a vacuum to seal the side just to make a bag before anything goes into it. Looks like this unit has a seperate seal function so might "upgrade"

    • I would spring for the VS02 so that you have pulse mode which makes it a lot easier to seal liquids.

      • Yeh I think pulse is pretty important to have.

When this vac seals and reaches vacuum does it continue to vacuum for a bit while it starts sealing?

I have the compact Aldi one which does but since I'm usually resealing original packages, sometimes it doesn't quite reach vacuum to trigger sealing.
I press the seal button but that instantly stops the vacuum unlike when it does it itself, which can lead to air getting back in.

I don't use rolls so compact is better for me, ordered the VS05 to try out which is $55 with pulse, so guess I'll see soon enough but doesn't seem to be much out there about this one.

        • I'm still using an old Luvele Supreme. Clips are broken so I have to push the lid down while it seals but I'm too much of a tightarse to replace. Seen someone get a near perfect seal on a bag of broth using pulse though so I've been tempted to upgrade for the feature. I've been eyeing off the VS03.

  • I love how the amazon ad images say, working voice less than 65 decibles

A bit of a translation error i imagine

But I'm certainly going to get v02
