any chance it is still sealed? i did same thing, got a a55 from ow, and someone post bing lee ebay deal. returned ow stock.

      • Nah I opened it and am happily using it. That purchase was after I cancelled an existing JB order at $368. FOMO has done me in.

        • My return was after cancel Amazon order. Lol we deserve ozbargain badge.

Guess you missed eBays booboo a few days ago then?

Anything under $350 is still decent anyway. Snappy little phone.

  • So cheap…whats the catch other than less than average camera that I've been reading here always?

    • +1

      You’re buying from Bing Lee

No SD Card slot (Built-in 256GB is not bad though)

      From reviewing the specs (https://www.motorola.com.au/smartphones-motorola-edge-50-neo…)

      • Or 3.5mm jack. But both are going the way of the removable battery I'm afraid.

        • +4

Removal battery will be making a comeback from 2026, EU regulations all phones must have removable battery by 2027.

    • no catch, got it for 338 from JB Hifi and this thing is amazing, best value phone I've ever seen

coming from an iPhone 12, it's so much faster, including charging and etc

  • +3

Stop the deals with this phone!! I got mine at $350 from Mobileciti last week and I've seen like 17 cheaper deals since then T_T

will it be cheaper next week? 😂

    • +8

It's not a Tesla. This will take longer than a week to drop in price.

Sale is different to depreciation of a used product.

Tip from your local Motorola enthusiast.

Patience is the key to success. You will be amazed at the victory showered upon you when you wait just a little longer instead of rushing into it.

    • Any upcoming deals on a qualcomnn version :)

      • What's coming will switch even snapdragon fans to Mediatek

        • what is coming? Picked up this phone, its a nice screen, can be a little laggy, but for $350 I can live with that. Coming from apple, will give this a month and if I stay android will look to pickup something with flagship specs.

        • need snapdragon for my use :(

    • Said like an npc

    Must resist

    • Your abstinence will be rewarded soon enough

      • Is "soon enough" before chistmas? My mum needs an upgrade 2 years ago, haha.

        • highly likely. Be prepared and be quick.

          • @shxhshzhz:

            1. Want to protect my neo better than the standard case protector, which leaves the screen prone to scratching. Any suggestions on product & where to purchase.

            2. Now owning a new Neo, what are the best Motorola enthusiast's sites.

  • Damn,paid $348 at Harvey Norman yesterday

    • Yep, paid $348 + $22 for extra 12mths warranty = 3 yrs warranty, Total $370 at Harvey Norman yesterday.

      • Wow! What store did you get $22 for the extra warranty from?

picked this phone up last week for a family member, honestly it's quite a good phone for the price. everything on it feels great, good enough cameras, 120hz ltpo 1200p screen, pretty bright screen, snappy and responsive UI, near stock android like ui, AOD, fingerprint reader is fast, 68w charging (and comes with a charger), wireless charging, haptics aren't terrible, light and easy to use one handed, cameras are pretty decent, apparently 5 years of upgrades. comes with a free case that only covers the top and bottom edges though, probably the only downside i've found.

mid range phones have really come a long way.

    • +1

I've been using mine without the case (or screen protector at the moment), the back is nice and grippy to hold.

I forget how thin and light these things are when you use them as they were designed. Starting to think for the price should just keep it like that. Be the monster

    • Snappy and responsive hard disagree lol

      • what issues have you had?

I've been using it for browsing, texting, taking photos, haven't really noticed it slow to a crawl or anything. everything closes/minimizes, switching between apps/apps open pretty quickly, I can't really say I've had it feel sluggish like older phones I've used.

  • must resist… !

    I am after Motorola G75 … but $318 is tempting !!!

    • Your abstinence will be rewarded soon enough

Sometimes you bide your time for too long during a sale as all the good deals pass by. And while you tell yourself you're patiently waiting for the perfect ATL for you, all you're really doing is standing in the corner ogling everyone else's price matches and cashbacks.

And if you're not careful you can get yourself all worked up just as the good deals dry up and in an act of desperation suddenly blow your wallet on an unattractive deal. And then sheepishly try to tell the store it was just an accident, while questioning yourself for losing it so hard over a deal you wouldn't normally look twice at.

    Sold out :(

    • Oh great, now abstinence is forced upon me. I blame you @shxhshzhz :P

      • +1

Your abstinence will fail soon enough

    12GB is many RAMs

  • Lebara blocked my phone today for the new legislation of incompatible phone (they think my phone cannot call 000 on 4G while it can). Now I am back to square one and to my backup Samsung S9 which is also incompatible

Budget is just fit for edge 50 neo and missed the above deal. Any hopeful deals ($348 Neo is only one now) before they block my S9 too

  • +1

Can you have more than 1 active esims?

    • +1

Motorola phones generally only allow 1 active eSIM, although you can store more than one.

  • damn, bought at 399
