      The "W" has a dedicated white LED also. It's definitely a nicer/brighter white, than making white using R + G + B.

      If you don't think you will use white mostly, then you can do without and save some $.

    Rgb+w is nicer. Gives a proper warm gentle white light. The rgb can't do it quite as well. I have both on our xmas tree at the moment - a 600 rgb+w and a 600 rgb.
    I wish both were rgb+w.

    Hopefully more of the 50 to 75% off at Myer again this year.
    They look great on a white Christmas tree.
