    Suggested Retail Price: $1799. lol.

  • This is a better deal if you're with Costco.

Google TV OS > VIDAA OS…+$56 cheaper (would almost pay for your Costco membership if you don't have one!)

  • No postage to my area unfortunately.

    • Region?

      • 3820 Vic.

Dont bother with Tv's that dont have decent local dimming or are oled in 2024. This tech should be basic by now. Everything is made for HDR now.

My dude. This is OB…not everyone wants to pay premuim for stuff that is only really a videophile issue. In a typical Australian living room with ambient light, local dimming and perfect blacks are completely irrelevant. No need to pay double or even triple for features that only really come out in darkened home theatre contexts. Even then, stutter on OLEDs is absolutely heinous on movie content. It's horses for courses…absolute statements like yours are lazy.

    • I've struggled with this in choosing a new TV.
Agree that local dimming, mini-LED and OLED are all great - but as amiafish said,

for the 99% of viewing that I do which are basic YouTube videos, some Netflix and Amazon Prime movies, and TV I suspect most of the time I wouldn't be able to see much difference given the content.

Spent a bit of time yesterday in Harvey Normal looking at the various TVs getting a common video feed (Formula One) and it was honestly hard to tell the difference from some of the most basic TVs to the top of the range OLEDs.

    • don't bother with hisense, when the TV dies 2 years into the 3 year warranty they'l ghost you or dare you to go to the ACCC>

  • +1

Hisense are not recomended, they don't give a flying f*** about warranty or australian consumer law.

    • i have a tv that just failed. 2 years into it… what do.. buy a new one or .. claim warranty???

      • All their tv's have a 3 year warranty, says so on their website too.

Regardless all products in australia have to meet requirements of Australian Consumer Law, which dictates a product must be fit for purpose and durable.

A reasonable customer would expect a tv to last atleast 5 years. So the ACCC and your states consumer and business services will back you against hisense.

They can't exclude your rights and their responsibilities under the ACL
