Did you use a browser or app? In Chrome mobile browser for example:
Settings - Privacy and security - Delete browsing data - Advanced (on top) and tap "All time":
          ✓ Cookies and site data
          ✓ Cached images and files
          ✓ Site settings

Then tap "Delete data" at the bottom. Try again. Use a normal email address, not from Proton mail for example.

    • +1

I got the same error when using proton email.
Then I changed to GMail and trxn went through.
I guess the best bet is using GMail as it seems PureVPN doesn't like any other unpopular email domains.

      • +1

By the way, I used Paypal

      • +1

Yeah, Proton mail doesn't work for this PureVPN. I had to create a new gmail address last time.

      • Legend! This was the issue. Tried gmail and worked. Thanks

      • +1

Same. Email with my own .com domain got the error, but gmail works. Seems like a stupid decision to for them to trust gmail addresses more than others. Then again, 130% cashback also seems stupid.

    • I'm having the same problem with an iCloud Hide Your Email address :/

  • I signed up earlier in the month. I have a family member with topcashback also, who I referred but live in the same house. If they were to sign up if I told them about this deal would that potentially cause issues with topcashback? Eg, is it one per household that can have account or is it ok to share an ip address?

    • I m using phone data to sign up again lol

      • under a different account though?

        • Yeah different email

          • @MeesusEff: I thought it was topcashback that didnt allow that if theres been one within 30 days.

            • +1

@drspy00: It says per member not per household. I just signed up for my husband and I today lol

    • +1

I bought 1x 5yr plan each under my TCB and wife’s account back in 23 Aug, both cleared for payout today, exactly 3 months. Obv we live together, actually i bought using the same phone.. just logged out mine and login hers..

      • +1

TCB is fine with couples. Just don't get another partner 😂

  • For anyone who cares, looks like they only have Aussie servers in Sydney and Perth. Need a Surfshark or Nord deal

    • +3

Surfshark 98% via TCB Monday 👍

  • +2

Just wondering, how do you see on TCB when a particular boosted cashback ends? For example, how did OP figure out this deal ends at 11:59pm of 25th of Nov?

    • +1

I just worked out how to read the revisions of a post. Looking at the revisions, OP had 24th Nov as the expiry date. The moderator scrimshaw had changed to 25th Nov. I'm curious if @scrimshaw is able to view the expiry date. I had posted several TCB posts without expiry dates as they were not visible on the website or app. The moderators were aware when the offers expired and revised my posts with expiry dates. A few times I asked the rep TA for the expiry when people asked.

      • The only person who knows the expiry date here is TCB employee, TA. I only edit the deal after receiving a report from rep about the expiry date. Otherwise, I wouldn't know either.

        • +1

Makes sense. Glad to know it's not because I'm missed seeing the info on TCB's webpage or something. Thank you guys for the clarifications!

        • +1

Thanks for the info. I also thought there was something wrong with my app or webpage.

Edit: Just realised you can't upvote or downvote a moderator Lol

  • Pretty bad reviews on Purevpn avoid at all costs

    • whats bad about it?

  • Managed to get an order in without errors this time. Still waiting on tracking though.

    • Please see 3rd paragraph here. Let us know how you go 🙏

      • Damn, been 3 hours here and hasn’t tracked. Guess I’ll have to cancel

        • Not yet.

but always allow 24 hours due to varying factors (API stalling, reporting delays etc).

      • Thanks TA, tracked $231.55 in a bit over an hour.

        • 👍

  • I signed up the 5year Max plan, is this eligible for 130% cashback?

  • I'm trying to sign up but keeps getting hit with this same error even though I've enabled cookies. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The link you clicked on requires cookies to be enabled in your browser. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • I installed PureVPN app in my FireTV stick, login and tried US & Australia location. But, Netflix is very very slow to load. Is there anything else that i need to do? It looks like i couldn't get good speed to stream movies

    • Maybe try to change the protocol. Check the setting in the app. First time login, PureVPN asked for streaming or other purposes to optimise it.

  • FYI. Still waiting for mine to change from "pending" to "confirmed" from the last deal over a month ago.

    • As I am reading, it will be payable in 3 months

      • From "confirmed" to payable? Regardless, it is not even confirmed by PureVPN. Previously, they confirmed it much faster. This is my first time, so I am a brand new customer. I don't know why it is taking so long. I contacted both companies; TCB said it was PureVPN, and PureVPN said they would get back to me. Then nothing happened.

    • +2

"Pending" to "Confirmed" can take less than a month to about 2 months based on my 2 orders recently. Payment is in about 3 months on one order.

  • Thanks OP. Purchased.

  • Got an error with payment too. Don't know why thats happening.

    • I got the same error when using proton email.
Then I changed to GMail and trxn went through.
I guess the best bet is using GMail as it seems PureVPN doesn't like any other unpopular email domains.

  • Got an error with 2 email providers and own domain, was only able to complete using gmail.

    • I used personal domain and it worked… but it’s using Google workspaces so maybe that’s why.

      5-year Max USD197.40, charged AUD 304.72 (Wise), tracked after 40min AUD 382.80

      • Did you pay direct via inputting Wise card #? Or via Paypal connected to Wise card?

        • It should be the same. Usually I use PayPal with Wise card for payment. But I have USD balance already. Got charged in USD without currency conversion or other fee.

        • +1

          Direct

  • how long it takes to track in topcashback?

signed up for purevpn couple of hours ago but it hasnt tracked yet

    • Less than an hour for me earlier
$305.15 for my cba no intl fee card for $382.82 return

  • thanks. just tracked

  • +1

Damn looks like mines the only one that didn’t track. Went big on the 5 year plan too

  • Thanks, tracked 45 mins after purchase!

  • +1

Didn't get tracked on topcashback last time and refunding it through purevpn was very stressful. Topcashback takes seberal months to address your claim but there's no guarantee it will be honoured. Just remember that there's a chance you could be paying the full amount for a substandard vpn service and not getting a dime back

    • Can confirm, trying to get a refund via purevpn now and it’s tough

      • I've asked them clearly 4 times to cancel my account and they just ignore it lol. Guess I'm not in a rush with 5 years subscription but was thinking of going again for another profit.

          • @neoleo: Hey, thanks for this i'll keep it in mind if i go again for another cashback.

My August CB was paid so I cancelled the paypal authorisation via paypal and then was looking to close out the PureVPN account so i don't forget. I've asked them on email 7 times now to close the account and they just completely ignore the request with their standard response. Seems impossible to get the account closed! I guess it doesn't matter since I cancelled the payment on the paypal side. I'm glad i never gave them debit card numbers since they are super hard to deal with from this experience.

            • @junet: Of course just cancel the automatic payment in Paypal. For card, Wise virtual cards are great as the virtual cards can be closed and replaced with new card numbers. Repeat ;-)

    • All my purchases have tracked with PureVPN via TCB and just recently some from August have paid out. And for the ones that didn’t track, it required 2 back and forth emails between CS to get the refund.

      • We can do it in the browser too after login. Chat included. It's because previously I used dot (.) trick with Gmail addresses, so reply with email is not advised as the email is different on their side.

Imagine you have [email protected] but you put [email protected] previously for PureVPN. So, just reply through chat after login. Tap the support ticket to reply if you have created a new support ticket.

    • After login, from their menu, tap/click "Subscriptions". At the bottom: "File a refund". You can tap/click "Help Desk" - "Create a new ticket" at the bottom under Support tickets. You can do "live chat" too to ask for refund. They will ask for the reason and give some offers to keep you as their customer. You can tap/click the support ticket to reply back and give a reason like you need the money asap, etc. After you confirm that you don't want their offer and just say to get full refund, then they will proceed to refund. Then you'll receive it in days. That's it. I have done this several times, lol as my Topcashback US account gets banned because of several PureVPN transactions.

  • Tracked for a family member, and tracked for me previously. What are the chances once its tracked it will stay tracked? Is there anything that could impact it paying out other than cancelling, $300 is quite alot for something I wasnt planning on even using, (but probably will) but if it didnt pay out is there anything that can be done? could it be cancelled for the 5 years if it didnt track?

    • If you got confirmation email and/or it is shown in your account as Pending, you just have to wait for it to be Confirmed and Payable later.

If it didn't track, you can ask for full refund from PureVPN within a month. Mostly I don't use this VPN, only for the profit ;-)

NordVPN is much better than this one.

  • Can anyone confirm that the 5 year plan is still valid? Assuming it's until 11:59pm on 25.11?

  • What constitutes as new customer? New email? or does payment method need to also be different?

    • Definitely always use new email and we can only buy this once a month. I haven't tried with same card number, but I usually use Paypal with the same new email for this. We can add many email addresses in Paypal and set default email.

  • Tracked! Now a 3 month wait for around $40 😂

  • iphone, TCB app + 4G internet, charged AUD318 by Citi CC via paypal for 5-year max plan, tracked in 30 min. Thanks OP!

    • Wow, was only $305.15 with debit mastercard up. But any of those no fee debit cards are great.

    • +1

5 year max plan $305.15 for me too on bendigo ready card - no international transaction fee.

      • Yes those no fee cards are great, and they can be calculated on the websites beforehand, actually found an app that compares them both, was about 1c difference with visa card but it didnt work. Wise, I'm not sure about as it fluctuates and I can't find a way to calculate beforehand.

    • @bumpyhead @drspy00 @CodeXD PayPal charges a currency conversion fee (regardless of no fee card). I had bought the 2 year plan before and PayPal charged $8 extra for the currency conversion. I used a credit card without international fees and was unable to change the currency to USD on PayPal. Was able to change the currency to USD with AliExpress but not PureVPN.

      • I entered the card details directly into pureVPN - didnt go through paypal.

        • +2

I was referring to why bumpyhead paid more at A$318 using PayPal. The extra charge would have been from PayPal. You paid less at A$305.15 by adding the card directly.

      • +1

Unfortunately purevpn has somehow taken away the ability to change the currency to USD, and it does it all by default. I buy on aliexpress, ebay and theres always the option. The paypal AUD conversion is terrible, maybe the worst on the market. It also happens on aliexpress if you use AUD.

I read this before buying, checked it and realised I'd have to use the card to make sure it took the payment in USD. I am very pedantic about this because I lost about $30 difference on ebay a few years back, even challenged paypal to refund the difference as I had a screenshot of it in USD, I set it up to default to the main currency and not do the conversion, (Which has since changed to default to AUD in the last year btw) I had a case with the financial ombudsman and with a few emails I got them to refund. Not sure they would do that now with the current setup as it just defaults to AUD anyway now but you have to be on the ball to change it when theres an option.

I wonder if this is something purevpn has done, or if its just how websites handle paypal transactions now.

        • I put Wise card in Paypal, no currency conversion last month. But I have USD balance in Wise. Someone mentioned about Wise without USD balance previously and still good with Wise.

          • @neoleo: Thats a bit different, maybe because wise is not an Australian card or it detects the US balance. I used paypal last month also for the purevpn deal macquarie card and it did default to AUD but it was possible to change to US.

            • +1

@drspy00: Wise card is a multi currencies card. Default currency in PureVPN is USD.

            • @drspy00: Really? So you checked out via Paypal which links to your macquarie bank card, but was given the option to charge in USD? And this was last month?
Many people from back in August deal confirms there is no option to change currency

              • @noelhoi: I actually just double checked and it was paypal with wise card (With AUD balance). (I have so many cards and have done so many transactions lately and forgot). So it must be a wise card thing, though I tried to replicate the transaction just then, logging in and paying with an empty card to see. It seems to just attempt to process the transaction, but not come up with any options. I am sure there was an option though when I did it! or maybe I just assumed.

Funny thing is, wise actually settled at about 40c more than regular visa card for that day.

                • +1

@drspy00: 40c is still much better than $8-10 via PP’s auto currency converted bs shoved down our throats, thanks for confirming

                  • +2

@noelhoi: From memory, when checking out PureVPN didn't give an option to change currency. It bills in USD.

If you then choose to pay with Paypal, then it depends which linked card you're using to pay.

For example, if it's Revolut or Wise (which like neoleo mentioned is a multi currencies card), then Paypal just charges that card in USD. However, if it's an Australian bank card which would have default currency of AUD, Paypal will do the conversion using its crappy exchange rate then charge the bank card in AUD.

                    • +1

@Alinnia: Yeah this makes sense, hence I avoid using Paypal for PureVPN.

                  • @noelhoi: True, Paypal are getting really sneaky since ebay stopped their agreement. Used up card for family member in this deal directly and it settled at the correct daily rate of mastercard.

                    • +1

@drspy00: FYI Paypal also do this without asking on Booking.com for pay later, learnt this the hard way. You need to manually log into your Paypal automatic payments setup and change it.

                      • @wangasm: Interesting. Wonder if the merchants get a better rate for offering paypal if they allow this. Weird as most sites default to AUD, but with the option to change. If this is a sign of things to come I just won't use paypal. I already use afterpay much more even if I pay it immediately, as its an Australian company.

      • +1

can confirm it is due to the bad forex rates offered by PayPal:

        Exchange rate
        $317.86 AUD = $197.40 USD
        1 AUD = $0.621 USD

  • +2

To whoever signed up on the 28-30Sept, it just became Payable for me. 2 months turnaround 😳🥳
    Dont forget to cancel sub!

  • Question from a novice:

I already paid for a 5 year subs, got the following status on TCB:

    PureVPN pending
    Purchase $294.64
    Estimated Payable 14 Weeks
    Order Id 150726814
    Top Up Amount $0.00
    Last Updated 24 Nov 2024

Does it mean the cashback is now tracked, and I have to wait for 3 months before cashback?

    Thank you.

    • +1

Yes, it means your cashback has tracked for that purchase. You will need to wait for that tracking to update from Pending status to Confirmed status then to Payable status. Once it's Payable status you can withdraw the cashback. ETA is 2-3 months.

  • @tightarse….any similar cashback deal coming up for NordVPN? Cashrewards has come up with 100% cashback today?
