The MX vertical is better, lets not kid ourselves. I've had two (and gave one away).
Have experienced the device not turning on on one of them after 6 years, but usually come good if plug in for a while.
Just don't use a powerful fast charger to look after all your devices like these.
It's the click hardware that has a design flaw.
They do both feel different, lift is smaller and lighter.
The MX is more premium the lift is a cheaper one with AA batteries. Just get what suits you but not worth making a big thing about it.
$98 is a great price!
The LIft is pretty small so best to try them out personally. Can't really go wrong with the MX Vertical - I got one at home, one at work (and matching MX keys kb too.
I'm sure for every one person that has had an issue then 100 will be fine.
Depends how long you expect them to last anyway - 10 years?
Easy enough and best to price beat at OW and just take it back within 2 years if that happens.
Mine's been going strong for almost two years. The Lift is a bit more diminutive so I like the MX Vertical.
I've had a logitech MX Ergo (the trackball) fail, logitech replaced it promptly with an MX Ergo S.
Apart from 24-48 hour turn around times on support replies via email, Logitech support was solid.
How long from purchase date they will honor the wrranty? Need proof of purchase ?
@CyberMurning: 12 months by default, but as others have posted they seem open to ACL threats/suggestions.
You just need a receipt, I bought mine from an eBay seller and they sent me a tax receipt on request - no dramas.
@Commodore64: Oky let me dig out mine and hopefully it develops some fault so i can get the new s model haha
If you have big/giant hands, it's not really an option. The Lift is too small.
I use three MX Verticals every day: one at work, one in my home office, and one in my home computer room. Thanks to the channel switching, they also do double duty across many different devices. They work all the time, every time.
At $98 it's a bargain IMO.
Mine are 4 and 3 years old.
FYI I have small-ish hands (I'm a medium in gloves) and have the Vertical. I tried the Lift because it's meant to be for smaller hands, but it didn't feel right and I went back to my good ol' Vertical. Obviously YMMV
I got my MX vertical in 2018 and gets used at work, thrown in the bag, used at home, thrown in the bag… Still going strong.
Had big shoulder and elbow pain and within a few months of this relieved itself. Def recommend.
I have tried both MX Vertical and Lift - ended up giving away the Vertical. My preference was for the Lift as it's smaller, and I like the rubberised texture of the Lift more than the smooth texture of the Vertical. Importanty for these vertical mice, the Lift wins out for me because it's lighter - and because the ergonomics are so different with this type of mouse, I found that the difference in weight made a difference in comfort.
For me everything you said is the exact opposite. MX any time, all the time
Agree, doesn't sound like they are describing the MX. It's by no means heavy, has good grip (without being too rubbery).
Do it!
Used since having tennis elbow years ago but they are my go to 90% of the time on the PC.
After a couple of years, you will find your rubber is getting rubbed off.
I got mx verctical and can recommend. Use it prob close to 10 hours a day 5 days a week at office with the k860 ergo, helped my wrist and shoulder pains.
I use mx keys and mx mouse at home, when they die I’ll replace with same kit I have at the office
I have one of these and it really helped with wrist pain I was getting (I’m a radiologist so do a lot of scrolling etc). I have a couple of colleagues who use the Lift mouse and that’s a lot smaller; if you have bigger hands, the MX vertical is a far superior choice. The MX vertical also looks and feels a lot more premium than the Lift.
What can you replicate through customisable buttons or other way that mimics the gestures with the Apple Mouse?
I love the Apple Mouse that I can swipe, flick, two finger tap to trigger different menus, screens etc.
But keen to understand if an ergo-mouse can perform most functions.
Any old Apple Mouse users that won’t go back to one? How quick was it to change the muscle memory in your hands?
Which is better this or MX vertical advanced?
I've got tenosynovitis in my right hand due to RSI so looking to get an ergonomic mouse.
Lol nevermind me, it's the same mouse
I had never heard of the advanced so I checked model numbers and looks like they're the same thing.

Vertical mouse saved my wrists. Can't seem to use a normal mouse anymore for a sustained period without pain. If you're doubtful about whether you will like it some JBhifis have them on display so you can try them.
Ppl with small hands, get the lift.
Its silent clicks. Amazing.
I have used it for one year, tbh it's too heavy and doesn't help too much on easing my wrist hurt
Try track ball type mouse
I tried mx vertical and went back to my mx master 3s. Just couldn't get used to it. Pity because it seems like a solid quality mouse.
I just got the MX Master 3S. It's currently on sale at Amazon for $105.
logged in to leave a comment. Guys, best to AVOID at all costs. the left mouse click issue never goes away until you replac with another part which will require soldering and stuff. I bought 2 of them and they all had the same issues.
At the time of my comment, there are 2 comments talking about a click issue but first I'd heard of it. Not doubting those who have experienced that, but posting to advise it hasn't affected everyone.
Mine has been going okay since 2020, so almost 4 years. Unfortunately they have non-replaceable rechargeable batteries so I assumed I'd have to replace eventually but they run for weeks without a charge so that may be some time away.
Really great for those with wrist issues. I've tried trackballs in the past and they are okay but I prefer the vertical mouse.
yes just google anything and you're bound to find something. Mine have been going great too so wouldn't worry.
.
My right click issues started just out of warranty - and it is (profanity) terrible! Can never reliably rt click. Ever.
Nothing for left-hand people..
Was curious about this and to my surprise a left handed logitech vertical mouse does exist. It's the lift though, smaller. Which some prefer. No idea if the bigger one exists in left handed

better off with the Lift
This one has a design flaw, it will eventually fail - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/829434
