  • Is there a code?

    • Scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting "Software" shows "Was $495, Now $395"

Likely a title error that hasn't mentioned the original price, but I could be wrong

    • no code, resellers are already listing the sale price

  • Oh okay, thanks mate

best way to pick up resolve is usually to buy some hardware that includes the license.

    • Oh okay

    • Care to share some examples of hardware that includes the license? Thanks

Cheapest is usually the speed editor, though it'll cost you more than $400 and only some people will find it useful. I got my licences with the BMPCC6K camera and the micro grading panel. But spending $2000 only makes sense if you actually want those things, then it's an excellent deal to save $400 on the licence.

Otherwise this is a pretty good deal for a lifetime of incredible software.

    • DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor $548.00 on eBay with BFRI30

      • deal over now $588 delivered with code PLS250

  • DaVinci Resolve Studio Perpetual Licence. Can you uninstall and reinstall in your new pc when upgrading the computer in the future? Or you have to keep the same PC for life?

    • it's a serial number, you can just reinstall it - you can also install it on 2 computers at the same time.

      • whoa so you can go halvies with someone

        • that would be against the TOS but yeah you could

          • @BigglesKDH: Also make sure you don't lose the serial. There's no getting it back if you do.

  • If you want to use cloud saved projects that you can work on at the same time (Remote Collaboration) you need to subscribe to BM Cloud, but if you just want to edit projects locally or even work collaboratively on the same network you can get away with purchasing one copy of Davinci Resolve Studio and installing it on two computers.

  • free upgrade? For all major version or only minor version?

For those using Adobe Premiere IMO this craps all over Premiere and is so much cheaper in the long run (and i've been using Premiere for over 20years before i switched).
The free version of Davinci Resolve has 90% of the paid Studio versions features so you can try it first but the additional features of the Studio version are well worth it - DaVinci Neural Engine - video denoise, ai audio noise reduction, magic mask etc - you can even put in a music track and isolate separate instruments or voice and turn them on and off.
Plus in my experience this is buttery smooth even with massive projects (that Premiere could even load or would take an hour to load) - and it is essentially: Premiere, Audition & Aftereffects all rolled into one App.

    • Strongly agree - 10 years in Premiere here, and jumped over 6 months ago. Took a moment to get used to the new interface, but I've never looked back. Only downside is there aren't as many plugins available as there has been for Premiere, but as Resolve gets more and more popular, the gap is closing quickly. If anyone out there is still paying Adobe money just for Premiere, jump over and you won't regret it!
