  • Sorry to hijack, what's the cheapest yet reliable place to get 35mm film developed? Not necessarily highest possible quality, just random holiday shots etc, just want a place that isn't going to like wreck the film or make it below average.

I saw Ted's had like a $10 sign up coupon which I'm assuming could be used towards their scans? But maybe quality at a place like that would be hit and miss?

Vic but also would mail somewhere if it's cheaper.

    • I've done ~9 rolls through Irohas Photo's Sydney store (they do have a Melb CBD store) and am happy with the results; it's normally $17/roll same day and they give high res scans ~24MP

Sydney is doing an opening promo @ $10/roll for now

    • Obligatory 'you either get cheapest or reliable'. I wouldn't let Ted's handle my shit for any amount though. I've used Ikigai (the company in this post) the last couple of times and they've always been good. It's been a few years though so can't remember prices.

      • Yeah, although I guess in this sense "reliable" doesn't mean best possible quality, it just means making them usable, given I'm not making art, just a bit of fun holiday photos. Figure there's a balance somewhere
