Any recommendations for an enclosure? I haven't owned an NVMe SSD before.

    • From what I have read Acasis seems like a pretty solid option. I am waiting for my TBU405 pro to arrive.

To make use of the speeds, you'll need a fast enclosure, fast cable, connect to usb3.1gen2 port for 10gbps or thunderbolt port 40gbps, and the data you're transferring from also needs to match the speeds..

You'll need to plan accordingly to actually get anywhere near decent speeds, else it's just a waste of money as it'll be bottlenecked somewhere. I put an enclosure on nvme years ago and was very quickly disappointed. I bought a 10gbps USB C pcie card plus 10gbps cable to get 25% of the max speeds of the nvme.

If your laptop has thunderbolt, get a thunderbolt enclosure + 40gbps cable, then yea, you can totally make use of the speeds. Last I checked, thunderbolt nvme enclosures was very expensive

      Great form factor though..

Yeah i was looking at using for Mac Mini. Just looked up thunderbolt enclosures and yikes! Some are more expensive than the ssd itself.

Thanks for this, been looking for a decent brand under $150 for 2TB for a little while. This reviews ok and is faster by a mile than what I already have so I doubt I'll have any complaints

    • I was also looking for one and almost went with the HP Fx900. Couldn't find many reviews on it though.

  • Does anyone know if there's any difference ordering from Amazon Germany?

    • Takes longer to deliver

    • If you select 2tb option I get bounced back to the german site at OP price

Review seems fine about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOxaOKIPiYg
Looking for a Thunderbolt 4 external enclosure for this (to pair with a M4 Mac Mini).

Note it may need a firmware update: https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/51…

Also stacked with Buy 3 items, save 12% promo offer so I got several microfibre cloths, etc included for posted price of this! https://www.amazon.com.au/promotion/psp/A74F5OEB9ZWY/

    • That’s only for 500gb. 2Tb won’t let me

      • Offer may have changed since but got 12% off deal above with 2TB on the 22nd Nov and it's shipping.

        • interesting. lucky you. maybe it was a mistake and they changed it later for the 500gb. i needed me some microfibres too so woulda gone well with that deal.
