    well the sensor is probably the same size and you get the benefit of the 5x zoom in a more compact package (i.e. retractable lens). I would think this camera would be better if you are not a camera enthusiast.

      can you change the aperture, shutter speed and iso on this camera? i wouldnt say this camera is better than the pentax q

        What I'm saying is I think this camera performs better as a regular P&S than the Q due to being more pocketable and having zoom. Sure it may not be as customisable as the Q but i think people buying a basic P&S at this price range will just shoot in full auto mode anyway. The Q is a great camera, but if you don't need an interchangeable lens camera, why buy it over this? The zoom lens alone will set you back another $300 and at the end of the day, you can only get so much IQ from such a small sensor.
