    4k movie prices are going up worldwide it seems. Some new releases are now $59 at JB and I know the US market had been complaining on the recent price hikes for Disney/Fox discs.

  I could never look at True Lies (1994) in the same way, after I discovered it was a rewrite of (or heavily influenced by) the French film La Totale! (1991).

      It wasn't well known by the non-west-European audiences in 1994. I fell over the film quite by accident in the late '90s. To this day, most of my friends don't know about the original, they think True Lies was a completely original James Cameron project.

    It’s the best the movie is going to look, but the AI upscaling is awful. The movie is a smeary mess, although they are scenes that are sharp. I’m not convinced the movie was shot that well to begin with.
