Writer-director James Cameron creates an exhilarating mix of non-stop action-adventure and romantic comedy. Secret agent Harry Tasker is a top spy in the ultra-secret Omega Sector — although to his wife Helen, he’s just a dull computer salesman. But while Harry’s been busy saving the world, Helen’s been gathering secrets of her own. When their two lives unexpectedly collide, Harry and Helen find themselves in the clutches of international terrorists, fighting to save not only their marriage, but also the world.

    But they were all bad!

Am I the only one who's found the deals on 4K movies on Amazon so far pretty average ?

4k movie prices are going up worldwide it seems. Some new releases are now $59 at JB and I know the US market had been complaining on the recent price hikes for Disney/Fox discs.

I buy if it is under $20 :-)

Same… also this is one of the worst of the AI upscaled 4k's

I could never look at True Lies (1994) in the same way, after I discovered it was a rewrite of (or heavily influenced by) the French film La Totale! (1991).

That was never a secret though?

It wasn't well known by the non-west-European audiences in 1994. I fell over the film quite by accident in the late '90s. To this day, most of my friends don't know about the original, they think True Lies was a completely original James Cameron project.

        • To be fair, Le Total looks like a Le Total piece of trash in comparison

          • @vid_ghost: Couldn't have been that bad if they were so keen to remake it and base much of the gags and story outline on the original. Of course visually it is going to be chalk and cheese; you are pitting it against the Hollywood machine with millions upon millions of dollars behind it.

Great movie, but the 4K upscaling is apparently terrible.

    • It’s the best the movie is going to look, but the AI upscaling is awful. The movie is a smeary mess, although they are scenes that are sharp. I’m not convinced the movie was shot that well to begin with.

    • Was just about to post that one 👍

  • So based on all he reviews saying how bad the 4K Blu Ray looks, wouldn't most people just buy the old 1080p Blu Ray instead, or is that no longer available?

    • This title never got a blu-ray release
