ATL for the 8TB (with heatsink) version according to camelcamelcamel (https://3cmls.co/AU/B0D9WTM2TH) but its relatively new.

Seems the 10% off amazon gift cards from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/878215 is still active which should bring this down to $883.16, or $110/1TB.

Should go nicely with the PS5 Pro if you have $2k+ spare. 'this drive comes highly recommended for the PS5 and remains the best option at this capacity (not that there are many 8TB SSDs to choose between).

We can safely say that the WD Black SN850X is the best 8TB retail SSD currently available, and we highly recommend it if that’s your sort of thing.'

    • do you recommend 77 or 83 inch OLED G4 for this setup?

      • Prob save a few bucks and go the 77 I reckon.

        • yeah, good idea as i would also need to pay for games and sub.

Slightly cheaper at BHPhoto - $618.5 USD ($954.18 AUD according to mastecard) shipped via DHL to regional WA (maybe lower shipping if you live in metro area)

Worth noting this is a $900 drive with NO LOCAL (manufacturer) WARRANTY. WD are pretty strict about that unless something has changed.

  • Picked up the 2TB with heat sink this morning for $207. Only 4 left before I purchased then it was gone within minutes.

Worth keeping an eye on the listing as some come back in stock, if anyone was after smaller capacity..

  • At this price plus density of the components, not a deal

Wait for the post BF deal on the Lexar 8TB for $850-900 with local warranty - Chris has already confirmed it:

if i was in the market i'd prefer WD, especially considering amazon 10% off gift cards still available puts this at about $885 stack with 0.8% cashback

comes with Amazon warranty which my understanding is often better than manufacturer warranty? or is that just amazon au products

and how is Lexar with linux support, only got a few back when they were $225 for 4TB would've gotten mroe if they were properly supported by most linux distributions

  • shame theres a heatsink on it.

FYI its not out of stock (1 left)

Back in stock, from Amazen DE (Germany) for $975.20 now.

  • In general, are there any issues with getting from overseas Amazon?
