Wow man, but I am not with Ebay plus

    • +1

It's $4.99 for a month or $10 a year from targeted offers. Worth it if you need the phone.

        • That was a good deal

Lenovorola casually picking up all the ex Xiaomi users

    • +1

Why wouldn't they , if it works !

    • What happened with Xiaomi? I only swapped because of the Samsung A55 deal. Would've kept using my Redmi Note 9 otherwise.

Phones getting banned by telcos from accessing VoLTE even though they're compatible

      • +1

You got out just in time they blocked your phone.

  • sd card is the king, take my money

    G85 or Edge 50 NEO?

    • -2

      G85 everyday of the week

You will appreciate the Qualcomm radio performance long after you forget the specs on both phones

The MediaTek Dimensity "7300" in the Edge 50 Neo is a sneaky downgrade from the 7200 - slower CPU and cut down radio

      • I am worried about the OS updates. Ege 50 neo has 5 years OS updates but G85 has only 5 years security updates.

        • +10

G85 ships with Android 14 and is confirmed to get 15

What revolutionary features will you be missing from Android 16 if Lenovo decides not to offer the OS update?

By the time you are thinking about upgrading again, shxhshzhz will be posting a deal for the $249 Moto G88 12GB RAM/256GB Storage

    • Edge 50 for me - personally wifi charging more important to me than sd card slot.

      • +1

Oh, I didn't realize that G85 doesn't have wireless charging.

        • Yeah just upgraded my s10e so have a few wireless chargers around to be used.

This phone keeps getting cheaper because it's a fairly average phone. I have one and rate it 4/10 . Very disappointed.

    • +1

Don't see many bad words about this one - whats the issues?

    • +3

Care to elaborate on your 4/10..

    • +2

      rate it 4/10

Forget the reflection in the mirror mate, what do you rate the phone? :P

  • Replaced my bricked xiaomi mi 9t with this. Made me realise how slow and clunky the 9t has become over the years as I switch back and forth between them. Can't complain about anything at this price.

  • This is a small step up on my Galaxy S10 in performance. https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-85…

And a big step back on the camera department.

I don't think it's worth while for me yet, but it does have the security updates.

    • +1

You have the wrong soc. Apparently it's the 6s gen 3. As for cameras, you're right in that it's a big step back as an s20 user.

      • Oh yes, you're right, my mistake.

In that case, it's a big step back from the S10 in performance.

        https://www.topcpu.net/en/soc-c/qualcomm-snapdragon-855-vs-q…

        • +1

Honestly a bigger difference in performance than I was expecting. Probably not worth a jump then unless you go for something wayy better. The Edge 50 neo isn't half bad but it's also a lot worse than the s20 (in my case). You're not going to find much that can compare to a flagship like that unless you go into the 700+ category

  • damn has a curved screen :(

increased chance of cracked glass when dropped
(know from experience repairing phones, check out the amount of broken curved screen samsung phones, all cracked on the curve)

    • My Samsung Galaxy S10 is fine, no cracks. No screen protector but I have a bumper phone case.

Really depends on the user and how it gets dropped.

      • +1

"Really depends on the user and how it gets dropped"
        - Very true.

But i also found tempered glass 100% easier to install on a flat screen than curved

        • +1

tempered glass 100% easier to install on a flat screen than curved

Very true. Partially why I never bothered with a screen protector. (But also realised how robust the glass is even without one)

          • @smartProverble: Hydrogel protector works great with curved screen. Not quite as tough, but not fingerprinty and self healing with fine scratches

      • Are you sure your S10 doesn't have a screen protector? They come with a film screen protector from the factory. I have a small tear in mine. Apparently they provided them on the S10s because the fingerprint reader wouldn't work with a lot of aftermarket screen protectors.

  • Any idea if it's dual sim? Some sites say yes, some no

    • Dual SIM: eSIM + nano

  • +1

Bought one. Thanks for posting this deal @shxhshzhz

  • OOS @ BingLee
MobileCiti still seems to have stock.

  • This or the G84 which I currently have? Only issue putting me off buying it is the lack of headphone jack.

  • +1

That has been out of stock for a while, but also available at the mobileciti eBay store, for 99c more, use the same PLUS120 code for the $30 off.

  • This is an amazing phone. Was gonna get the latest pixel but wanted more time to decide so bought this in the interim. Now I no longer think about getting a new phone lol.
