It's $2279 on the Samsung Education store, before any additional trade-ins and/or first time app use discounts. Only $25 trade-in on the education store though.

I shudder to think what graphics card one needs to run AAA games at native res at decent frames.

I use a 7900GRE which needs upscaling etc. for intensive games for sure. Easier games like Hollow Knight do look amazing though, though you have to 'hack' the resolution support.
