    really depends on your budget and use case - action 5 is nearly double the price and has some supposed issues relating to software, but the camera has much bigger sensor and better battery life, among other improvements.

      The software issues were around bitrates of video recordings, which was supposedly fixed in an update a couple of weeks ago

    Sensor size is the same. Main diff is a bigger battery, OLED pressure sensitive screen, 47Gb built in memory, other improved stabilisation and resolution features.

    I think the 4 at this price is better. Reviews of the 4 were very good when it came out, especially low light and stabilisation options, it was the first version that really gave Gopro a run for its money. I'm not in the market for an action cam right now but would jump on the 4 if I was.

  This camera is awesome, I've it attached on my motorcycle helmet with aluminium housing coz the stock one is dogsh1t.
  I also have ND filter and glass protector for the screens and lens.

  One of the best feature is profile, I have a day and a night profile, all set manually like ISO, white balance, etc. Swap the profiles and voila.
  Good battery life, solid video quality.

  I finally found a camera do die for, no joking.

  No everything is perfect tho, you are forced to download their app to activate the camera which is a big dck move, the app is deleted and everything works amazingly 100% offline.
