Any Glaringly Weak Parts of This Gaming Build?

I'm replacing my old gaming rig (Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB RAM, Radeon RX 5600xt), and the new build will be used for 1440p at ultra settings and I'm interested in ray tracing hence the nVidia route over AMD for the graphics card. Some transcoding of digital media and I'm trying for the all impossible future proofing on the updated platform and (currently) overpowered CPU and potential GPU (extra VRAM). I have a quote for $3,537 and a stretch to a 4080 Super is proving too expensive (and possibly unnecessary at 1440p). Any glaring weaknesses that anyone can point out? All suggestions are greatly appreciated, long time listener, first time poster.

Any reason you aren't getting one of the many prebuilt deals on Ozbargain?

    e.g. Nebula 9800x3d 4080 super $3048

  • Doesn't look like the case even supports a 360mm radiator…

Are you going with this builder/vendor for a reason? You can get a build with the best gaming CPU on the market right now and a 4080 super for at least $500 less from storefronts like Nebula, TechFast, and others. There are also some really easy ways to save money on Windows 11 activations which can help you save money as well

  • Why a 7800x3d and not a 9800x3d? Just don't see why you'd spend that much and then get something a generation old.

  • Make sure that case has USBC

  • You could get this for almost $1k less and it’d perform about the same, probs a bit better

  • Case won't fit that cooler.

for radiators up to 280 mm in the front and 240 mm up top

You also say you want six fans (3 for AIO, 3 regular), but you have 1 CPU header, 1 pump header, and three system fan headers. You'll either need to daisy chain some fans or get a fan hub.
