The biggest bottle they make is 1.5l for $31.49 but it is not insulated.

      • They have an insulated 1.2L which I have used for about 4-5 years now and it is excellent. Bit of a tank to lug around, but well worth it to have plenty of frosty water at all times.

        • Tank to lug around as in the bottle itself is heavy?

          • @ChairmanMeow: It is both heavy and bulky in size. The handle at the top is really sturdy though and makes for a good way to carry it around, but it is still a big unit and you will have to get creative with where you put it when driving, as there will be no cup holder that actually fits this thing.

            • @XVX: I was looking for a similar bottle that fits in a cup holder and ended up going for this.

Don't know anything about the brand though, but for $30 I took a gamble.

They make a 2L insulated Camelbak which I've had for a few years now, it's a hefty beast though.

My favourite water bottle, have owned 2 now after losing my first.

  • +4

Highly recommend, I've had this bottle for 2 years (paid $49 in April 2022 so this is a good deal), and hope it lasts for life

    • +1

I would also highly recommend. I picked mine up Aug 2020 for $33 and it's still my go to bottle

    • The bottle will last, the lids though, you can just replace. And you should. Manky plastic after a while is not great. They're not expensive, now $12.50. You can even turn it into a thermos mugs with the hot lid, it's $9.50 or something right now.

  • Thanks! Ordered 0.6L
Finally, it's time to replace my bottle.

dang it, i bought so many water bottles for no reason, and i just bought 2 more :(

i got the insulated podium and this 1L insulated bottle. yesterday i purchased a bunch of stanleys and owala bottles. i guess i will let my kids pick what bottle they like and just gift the rest to my niece and nephews.

A quick note on the Chute Mag bottles. They are good but the lid has a gasket in the top, it gets funky pretty easily and since it rests on the mouthpiece you can't ignore it.

Camelback doesn't sell replacements so if it gets mouldy or mangled you have to buy a complete new lid.

Also for the eddy+ the redesign has made the spouts really easy to come off during use, probably not a good kids drink bottle

    • +2

Yeah I have the same issue too. I now have two bottles to alternate every day so I can wash after each use.

      • I like the chute mag because it's easier to clean than other more complicated bottles

      • +2

Can I recommend pulling the gasket out and giving it a clean once in a while too? You'd be surprised what's under there.

        • +1

I just did that for the first time the other day and … damn.

    • Have you tried a Nuvoe Pod with it? Been interested in getting one for my Camelbak for this exact reason.

  • Highly recommended. The magnet on the lid to keep it out of your face is a game changer.

The lid is a bit hard to clean though as others have rightly pointed out.

  • Thinking about getting an Eddy+ as my main car water bottle, although the prices I’m seeing are $18-$22. Worth it?

    • +5

I wouldn't get any plastic bottle if it's going to stay in the car just because of the temperature in the car in summer.

I'd get a double wall stainless one.

        Good call

Huh. "Made with 50% recyclable material" is some pretty lame attempt at environmental marketing.

Showing up as $70 for me, and it’s an international delivery, I clicked the link so not sure what’s happening.

  • Would you recommend this over something made in Japan from Zojirushi?

This is my go to bottle. I have owned a lot of different camelbak bottles over the years, plastic and steel. My first was the previous previous generation of this insulated steel one. This had been my main bottle. After 10 years, still going strong but with multiple lid changes. It has been been retired for the less bulky version. I use the 600ml one with a hot cap for my thermos, 2 yrs so far with lid changes (don't get their actual thermos mugs, they don't last). And this large one for cold drinks with ice blocks in them. You can also fit the hot cap on the 1L for a large hot drinks thermos. Essentially, all the lids are interchangeable.

Good bottle, only thing is it doesn't fit in the cupholder in the car, which is disappointing because the magnetic thingy would work so well for driving.

  • Magnet cap not great, times you forget to complete shut the lid and it will leak

Just opt for yeti way way better

    • Agree. The magnet cap feature is a bit gimmicky. I just tighten the cap instead of relying on the magnet.

      • +1

It’s to keep it out of your face when you’re drinking, not to keep it closed. That’s my understanding and how I’ve always used it anyway. It’s revolutionary in that regard.

        • +1

Yeah exactly, it's to keep it out of the way while you drink. Supposed to screw closed. Although I did once accidently leave open and knock it over and was surprised it didn't spill.

  • +2

I have several brands including Yeti, Frank Green and Decor. The 1.2L insulated Decor bottle is amazing, if you only want to spend $15 on a quality bottle, it is it. Wait for the 50% off sale at Woolies and Coles.

    • Thanks for the heads up on this. My kids are very happy with their new decor bottles. Amazing value really.

Bunnings have similar chug cap insulated bottles for cheap but regular prices - Marquee 1.1L for $16 and 1.5L for $18.

Also the oztrail 2.5L and 3.7L were very well priced ($55/$65). The 2.5L oztrail had a $41 in store tag on it when I looked recently which is cheaper than listed price.

  • black is showing up as $59.45 and navy as $49.59 for me…only available from 3rd part sellers :(

    • Back in stock quickly you can order now just a slight stock delay!

  • Back in stock try again

    • Thanks I've updated the post

  • I’ve ended up with an extra blue bottle (Melb based) paid $41 if anyone wants it. Was going to return it but feel bad some peeps missed out.
