  • These any good?

read previous posts, on the product, no shortage of them, start with first comment in last post then this

      • It all comes to personal preferences.
It received 170 upvotes last year.

        • +5

I suspect most people vote on price.
170 upvotes but half of all comments tell how shit they are. For that post, the votes vs comments trend makes no sense.
          Do you own some?

edit: we are 28 votes in, but yet to see a positive review in comments, only 2 negative reviews, again, makes no sense

          • @battler: definitely on price. the other thing was that historically it was good but somewhere down the line this changed

worst pillow case ever, dont even think of buying it and its like thinner than a piece of cloth, pretty much useless , and definitely not water resistant

    • +1

Why pillow case need water resistant?

      • +1

sweat, hopefully blocks some oil too! Whatever that makes bedding go yellow over time

      • +1

They call it water resistant, because it sounds better, it really means liquid resistant. It's useful as most people sweat during sleep, so it helps maintain the pillows cleaner for longer.

  • I bought a two pack a few years ago. I'm a very good sleeper, and have no issues getting to sleep just about anywhere.

First pillow split after a couple of months. Second pillow had completely lost shape after about a year and basically became very thin and uncomfortable. I could still sleep with it, but ended up buying a much better quality Dunlopillow and have no regrets.

Couldn't really recommend these at any price.

Do you people not understand pillow cases?

    • +1

Well, you are supposed to replace your pillow every year or so for hygiene reasons.
This pillow may not last long, but It does its job within that time frame.
And that's why I don't buy expensive pillow. I don't want to throw away $100 every year.
On the other hand I sleep on expensive mattress, because it is supposed to last at least 10 years.

      • I've got a pillow that I have been sleeping on for 2+ years now. I love it. Should I throw it out?

        • How often should it be replaced depends on how often you wash it and replace its cover.
But generally, 1-2 years is about time.
may be google "how often should you change your pillow"
Imagine you put on the same piece of underwear 8 hours a day for 2 years.
          Would you replace it? lol

        • Wash then on gentle in machine and spin dry on gentle. Cleaned them well for me. Also if the washing doesn’t work for you, chuck’em.

Got a latex pillow 10+ years ago and still using it. Still as supportive as new.
Buy once and lasts a lifetime.

  • These are much better, I bought them 7 months ago for $30.

    • Does the firm one keep its shape and support through the night?
And are they like hotel pillows as claimed? Been Looking but not had much luck.

      • Yes, yes, the quality is very good, much better than Tontine's. You can pay directly with a discounted Ultimate Everyone gift card.

        • Thanks. Have some of those GCs too from the Aldi deal.

The Luxe ones are much better - are a gusset type and much better fill. 2 for $41

    • Reviews on Amazon are pretty mixed most don't think they live up to their "Firm" labelling.

      • It’s definitely not firm. More a medium IMO

  • After spending heaps on pillows this year I got one of these a couple of weeks back and haven't slept better in a long time.

Was $39 on special. Comes with a bag of extra foam which I stuffed all in first up.
