JB-Hifi policy is if their price drops within 2 weeks of purchase they will refund the difference. There is anecdotal evidence on Ozbargain of them refunding the difference after 49 days.

I just looked at this in-store and compared it to the predecessor C755. It was a bit brighter but nothing else that stood out. I found the 65" image to look much nicer than the 75" on the C8555. I'm a screen tech noob so I'd love to hear other's thoughts.
Secured an in store deal for this size and model @ $1899. Admittedly on back order for delivery in 2 weeks but was too good not to secure especially with 30 day price protection.

Technically they beat it… I just said that I would rather wait until the price drops to that level again before purchasing (while showing the old deal). Salesperson came back after 5 mins with the price I purchased it for.
Was commenting as it seems if you go in to the store there's a chance you can get a further reduction on "black friday" deals.
Fair enough, glad they'd be willing to do that. Hopefully there'll be online sales soon otherwise I might have to try the same.
For anyone looking to buy the 75inch C855, I just used the below receipt from previous deal from one of the OZbargainer to price match at TGG. They also have free delivery promo running for TVs above 75 inches.
If you are looking for 85 inch one you could probably use the below receipt. Not sure if that's a good price as I was only looking for 75 inch.

Called up my local TGG and told them a mate got the 75" TV for $1,725.30. They honoured it + the free delivery special offer. Paid with discounted gift cards (4.5% off) for a price of $1,648.34

I got this same deal but told the wait time will be around xmas if not janurary to recieve the TV. Is that the same as others?
The store I purchased from didn't have stock and they told me it would be back ordered. I asked them to check if there is stock at other stores, they found that they have stock in warehouse and agreed to deliver in 4 days. This was Melbourne warehouse I am talking about, may not be the same with the other cities.

Rang my local store they easily did that over the phone for me BUT the sales person told me that the system shows no stock (or no further order) until March next year!!! I just told him to send me the link anyways and I will have a think about it…

Tried matching using the 85 inch receipt but they would only match the price if you also buy the 'Gold Service' thing. Anyone else have an 85 inch receipt around this price with the date on it?

Just wanted to let everyone know I went to JB HIFI (NSW) today and was able to buy the 85inch for 2301 + 59(delivery).
In addition they weren't able to go lower than the 1900's for the 75inch model.
Paid using gift cards for further discount.

FWIW do not even waste your time trying to get JB to match TGG - just spoke for 20mins with the LIVE CHAT, flat out refused to match - had zero interest in any receipts saying they only match a live, verifiable advertised deal. Tried to engage him on why they simply couldn't match a sub-division of theirs (TGG being owned by JB) on a price from 2 days ago - zero explanation or effort. Utterly frustrating.

Thats odd - I could have sworn earlier in the thread folks were saying some TGG's were matching, merely upon being told the price etc - didn't even want the receipt.
I mean it's simple, they have a cost as a group - do they (JB or TGG) want to sell or not - seems they do want to sell, as there's receipts of sales from as recent as 2 days ago.
So with that established they can make whatever the profilt is on that price now with other people or act silly and we might buy from them or elsewhere now /later.
They say the bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, JB seems to think it's the other way around. Play customers for fools.

I ordered mine on 2 December, but TGG said there is no stock in their warehouse and they do not know when it will be available.I ordered 75c855 from TGG on 3 Dec. Lives in Melbourne. Told no stock and expect late Jan. However jbhifi seems to have stock and easily available.
They probably have some stock in now. I rang on the 2nd and was told it won't be available until March next year, placed the order on the 4th and expected nothing will happen by the end of the year. Out of blue they called on Tuesday saying it's ready for delivery.
