  • The W820NB is also available for the same price - anyone have any insights into which is a better buy?

I was comparing the 700 and the 820 a while ago.

      1. Edifier WH700NB
Sound Quality: The WH700NB offers well-rounded sound with dynamic bass and clear mid-range, which makes it good for pop, rock, and classical music. It has four sound modes to adjust the audio profile based on genre, adding versatility (e.g., enhanced bass in Rock mode).

ANC Performance: This model provides decent noise cancellation, particularly for low frequencies like the hum of engines, though it struggles with higher-pitched sounds. It’s effective enough for light usage but not on par with high-end ANC headphones.

Battery Life: A major advantage of the WH700NB is its battery life—up to 45 hours with ANC and 68 hours without. Fast charging allows for up to 7 hours of playtime from a quick 10-minute charge.

Connectivity: Limited to the SBC codec without support for higher-quality codecs like aptX or LDAC, which may affect sound quality slightly, though SBC has improved considerably over time.

      1. Edifier W820NB
Sound Quality: Like the WH700NB, the W820NB provides well-balanced sound with an emphasis on bass, but it stands out by supporting the LDAC codec, which improves audio fidelity if used with compatible devices. This makes it a great option for those who prioritize high-quality audio.

ANC Performance: This model provides impressive ANC at its price, reportedly reducing noise by up to -43dB, which is substantial for its category. This makes it effective for everyday commuting or office settings.

Battery Life: The W820NB has solid battery life, lasting around 29 hours with ANC on and 49 hours with it off, a bit shorter than the WH700NB but still competitive. It also supports fast charging.

Price and Value: The W820NB is generally considered a better value for users who prefer higher-quality audio and effective ANC at an affordable price point.

Note the 700 have multi connect where the 820 doesnt. This personally is a deal breaker for me.

I havnt looked at the H9

      • Thanks, that’s really detailed and helpful!

    • I have W820B they are good value and sound good for the price and ANC is quite good. The call quality is pretty bad though. Can’t use it for office calls
