  • I used Good Guys price beat to bring it down to $88 + 12% cashrewards for those who prefer over Amazon.

  • Have had ongoing issues with one of these repeatedly burning through the advertised 1 year battery life in a matter of weeks. Garmin is impossible to get hold of and their website support directs you to phone or email - with no email listed. I've waited on the phone unsuccessfuly with them for ages, but a quick search seems to indicate they don't have much of a repair presence in Australia anyway and you'd be paying out of pocket for return postage. Luckily Amazon refunded me when I contacted them.

Be sure to keep your receipt handy!

    • Same experience for me. Bought one failed within a year. Refunded.
Bought a second time and battery issues every now and then. Replacing battery seems to fix it but problem will come sometimes within a couple of weeks. I can't find my receipt for the second purchase and have been stuck with it.

    • Interesting, I’ve got the older V2 units for my kids. Same thing, both chew through the batteries out of the box. Replacement batteries have been no better.

Get a couple to a few months maybe, but never 12 months.
