FWIW, I've had this bike for the last couple of years and ridden it for casual leisure activities. It's fine.

I note that NCM now sell a mid drive Milano Max N8R for $1799 and I'd probably buy that model instead now.

What's the difference between the two?

      • +1

My limited understanding of mid-drive is that they are better optimised for power efficiency

Mid-drive goes through the gears, so can be optimised for a smaller RPM range.
But you can make up for lower efficiency with a slightly bigger battery.

The real problem, IMHO, with most hub-drive bikes is that they lack torque sensors for the pedals. So it makes little difference how hard you pedal.
Especially for off-road, that is bad.

Plenty of value in this bike with large battery and accessories. Mid-drive the way to go and lots of models in this price range. Retailers should put more effort in their specifications, rather than hide the important bits. No wheel size mentioned ?

  • Does anyone know if it is similar to the MAMBA Savannah, Tebco Discovery or the NCM T3S? Cheers
