    Man, I have had a 10-12TB hard drives since 2015. I thought by now we would be buying 24TB hard drives for $300.

    I've got a ton of 2tb drives, thousands of hours on each. I banned myself from buying more. Just do the streaming thing. Then pricing & options got out of hand, while drive size GREW. So I'm back!

    I think it just sold out of local quantity, as reading a few mins ago from amazon au it was the above price with 3 units remaining. Now the price has gone up and coming from amazon us.

    Yeah, it was a great price but I don't think I'll never buy a WD product again after the whole SMR NAS drive thing a few years ago - not sure if it's still a thing but they've lost any loyalty I might have had

  Just a mention that apparently this is a different model to the popular 8tb Red Plus and even the 12tb. Some people have found it noisier.
