ATL for this fairly new model. Large water tanks and single side edge cleaning. Gimmicky "deep clean" of your water (electrolysis for a short period, see some bubbles but I really don't see what it would actually do, I use the reclaimed "distilled" water from my condenser dryer in it now anyway so no impurities for it to bubble)

I have one, works quite well. However, one downside that I overlooked when choosing is it doesn't come with any spare rollers or filters and they dont seem to be readily available (none of the other brands seem to be compatible, rollers at least. Maybe more luck with the filters). I think it's still a decent buy at this price.

  • Is this good for stubborn tiles? We have a domestic cleaning business and currently outsource balconies for example

    • +1

If I was paying to have my balcony cleaned, I would want it scrubbed first, then you could use this afterwards. These rollers are soft when wet.

      • Copy, thanks. We do housekeeping mostly but will look into something stronger.

    • They all claim to remove stubborn stains, but ultimately are a damp roller spinning over the surface so only so much they can do.

While they are pulling up something as the waste water is always looks filthy, probably not something I'd use commercially, especially as a first pass.
They also won't get in to the grout like a proper tile scrubber will do. (My neighbour has a commercial tile scrubber, massive bristle brush on it. That's what you would want (though it's commercially priced too, not in the $250 price range)

    • Btw was curious so googled it and Rotowash R20 I think is what he has. When sellers list as "request a quote" is not a good sign but found one with a price and that's a cheaper listing 😬

How does this compare to Dreame H12 PRO:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0CQC9RPZ2

    • That has dual sided edge cleaning (and spare rollers and easily purchasable spares) and heated drying but it is more than double the price.
This is probably more comparable to their H12S AE, though again that has spare rollers.

It might just be me, but I'd prefer the edge cleaning on the left as it's more natural for me to use that side when getting up against the walls, so double edge cleaning would be nice but for the price difference I can live without it.

I think they will all give pretty similar results. Apart from heated drying (which I'm not sure how necessary/effective it is) other features that might be useful is lay flat use which would be handy when getting under furniture (usually in more expensive models, although Roborock flexi lite for $300 has it for as well as heated drying but I have a lot of area to clean and didn't like the tiny water tanks)

Other Dreame models also have a longer warranty than this one. All that said, for the $250 mark I'm happy enough with this one.

If you want to chance it, there is another unknown one for $200 with coupon (3 left in stock), double edge cleaning but not a lot of other details.

      • Thanks i am leaning toward Roborock flexi lite for $300 for the heated drying.
I have a small 2 bedroom apartment, so tank so be ok.

  • Would this leave the floor wet after cleaning? My wooden floor is not completely sealed and wouldn't be able to handle being wet for ages

    • Not really. Of course the suction is behind the roller, so moving forward leaves it pretty dry but pulling backwards there is nothing to suck up what the roller left so you need to move in one direction pretty much, not like you would with a normal vacuum backwards and forwards.

Even so, whats left behind going backwards isn't a whole lot. You'd feel it walking over it it but it dries pretty quick. You might be left with a bit more when you change direction or stop. It's not spraying water on the floor, just keeping the roller damp.

(I tried to take a pic but was too hard to see anything in it)

  • How come no one is talking about Tineco? Whole series on offer with Black Friday discounts. Something like S5 is pretty well reviewed.
