Nothing wrong with your choice, the only thing is that those "cheap" RGB ones do not have the full spectrum so they only have limited colours and if you use any transitions it won't be smooth. It's just aesthetics.

OOS damn, would have been good for a backup for the one I have at home, actually pretty hard to find any that have the power cable on a side of the mousepad that can cleanly route under a desk
If only certain people didn't hoard more mousepads than they need…
Not sure if a backhanded comment or not haha but my last one lasted only 12 months before one side of the RGB rail gave out - bought a new one for $50 odd which is 6 months old now
