Kayo One from $5/Month or Kayo Basic from $15/Month for 6 Months + 6 Months Free Subscription to Binge for Cancelling @ Kayo

290

I proceeded to cancel my Kayo subscription online and was offered $15 off per month for 6 months. I wasn't sure if I should accept the deal, so didn't do anything for a couple of days. When I went back to cancel a couple of days later, the offer was $20 off for six months, which I signed up for.
A little later I got a message offering me 6 months of free Binge as long as I have an active Kayo subscription.
So I'm now paying $5 a month for the next 6 months of Kayo + Binge (can cancel at any time as well).

Not sure if this is targeted, hopefully it works for everyone.

  • I dropped mine after Bathurst, won't sign back up till NRL starts in march. Kayo not whatnot use to be

    • Kayo has gotten better for me.

They've got the rights to much more that I care about now than when they launched. I now keep it year-round when I didn't before.

The streaming experience is also absolutely bulletproof for me in Adelaide. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a single issue.

      • Yeah, compared to the convoluted mess that was foxtel sports, kayo is an easy all in one convenient solution. I'm happy to keep sailing though, world sports is rich enough imo. 🚢

  • what level of Kayo?

    • It's $20 off either sub, making it $5/month for One, or $15/month for Basic.

I wonder how bad the drop off post f1 final race will be. I imagine they will need generous retention incentives over the summer

I predict India will skittle Australia with relative ease. Our batting is in the toilet and has been carried by great bowling for the last few years. So to answer your question, a fair bit, hence these deals.

      • They just got smashed by NZ…on their home deck. It'll be a lot closer than that.

  • Seems to be targeted, couldn’t get this deal because a previous customer best offer was $25/m, no thx

I don't think I can get this stuff again. I have a mate's Optus Sport and between that and FTA, it'll have to do. I particularly don't like the idea of financing the Murdoch empire, I genuinely think he's made people stupider and more toxic.

      and that's just his kids.

yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they act after he's gone, but doesn't look good.

I logged in and got a month for $1. Least that's a bit of the test cricket, AUS v India. Thanks for reminding me to check current offers OP!

    • +1

I'm pretty sure the 1st test will be live streamed on 7plus

      • +1

It will. The home test series is always FTA, although tbf, Kayo's coverage is sometimes better.

I got that SMS as well.
So hopefully when my month is up I can get this 6 month deal.
These basic streaming services of 1 screen and 1080p are so basic that you could pretty much find a live sport streaming site and the experience would be the same.

      Test cricket free to air

I was going to cancel mine today anyway, and got $20 off for 6 months straight up. Will keep it for the holidays and try again next year lol.

Thanks, OP. Worked for me. $15 off for Kayo basic plan.

  • What are they showing of the NBA?

    • I think at least 7 selected games/week although the coming week shows 9 games. I think I'm on a $1/month for 2mths atm.

      • Considering there were 8 games yesterday, 5 today, and 8 tomorrow…

It's incredibly hard to follow without league pass. YouTube highlights only give so much insight

        • Agree! Will be interesting what happens next year with Amazon taking over the majority of games. I'm hoping for a black Friday league pass special. Have used vpn in the past but a lot of mucking about now.

Thanks. Was only on a $1 for one month offer but was presented with the $20 off offer when I cancelled a few minutes ago.

Legend, my previous 15$ off per month was ending on 5th December so I cancelled and immediately got the new 15$ off per month offer starting next month.

  • Defiantly targeted, nothing on the confirmation page and no emails post cancellation.

Will wait a few days and see how it goes but no rush on getting it back.

  • Thanks! Showing $1 for the first month for me. I’ll wait until 20th November so I can at least watch the first three test matches within the first month 😎 for $1, and cancel after that (heading on holidays after that)

Sick of Kayo's garbage interface, but this is a good deal.

    • would you believe me if I told you that Kayo received the Best User Experience award at the 2018 OTT Awards

  • Do you go into the Hubbl “my subscriptions” page and remove Kayo there and then click continue for the offer to pop up?

  • That’s a terrible waste of $5.

  • Nice one OP.

I would have cancelled but my dad has been using it a lot lately… happy to be a good son on the cheap haha.

  • Looks like a good deal until you sign up for the $5 and then they continue to charge you $25. Not worth the hassle.

    • ….why would they charge you $25 when it would show $5 on check-out? If however you forget to cancel and continue after your period is over well that's not on them. JUst set a reminder to cancel "anytime" during final month. Plan will continue up to last day of paid period.

  • Kayo and Optus sports both can’t use the vpn trick like YouTube premium which is also dying…

  • Thanks OP, $15 off straight up. Appreciate the heads up.
