I remember playing it as a kid! This game was so cool to me at the time - I spent weeks messing around building out the base and exploring the underground. And this was 2001 - long before Minecraft, Terraria, Factorio or similar base-building games. What's different is that in Diggles you have to get things done via minions, similar to Settlers, and they often have a mind of their own, which made things frustrating. I remember the game being very slow too, I don't think I ever finished even the first level, but this could be fun to mess around with again.
