$299 after code.
For those lucky enough to get one. I've tried desperately between late october and now but amaysim still wont give me one and tell me to wait for the system to detect my phone and email one… which isnt happening now i assume.
$499 for an S22 is still good though i thought.
New and 128GB, but this is refurbished and 256GB.
Which one has SD card, good camera, future software updates and is not laggy?
The Samsung S20, the last great Samsung flagship.
No future updates though, not even OneUI 6.0.
Screen is also either only 60Hz or only 120Hz, so battery life really isn't the best if you want a fluid UI.
Still using my S20FE to this day. Don't see myself changing for a while.
They all have good cameras, are former flagships.
I know this isn't comparable to something sold by a legit seller, but it's definitely possible to snag an S22 Ultra off marketplace for $550.
How about their battery, normally around 80%
This is not true
My Note 10+ (2019) has not appreciable drop in capacity.
Key is to set alarm at 20% and 80% charge and keep between those.
I managed to snag an S22 Ultra 256gb for $620 from this deal for ebay+ members: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/876411
Anyone have any experience with buying refurb from Amaysim?
Bought an iPhone from the previous deal. Phone was in worse condition than expected, dirty, and was an overseas model. Decided to return but the whole process took over a month before I received a refund
The Samsung S20 is garbage. After one of the updates, my screen got a few green vertical lines, and over time, more and more lines have appeared.
$350 for a nearly 5 year old phone. s20
No thank you.I purchased a brand new Redmi Turbo 3 for $325 off aliexpress 3 days ago. So much better.

5 year old used phone vs brand new phone.
You really want to compare alibaba with a tiny network reseller.
I take it has not been blocked by our over zealous network providers as not being able to verify if it does E000 calling in Australia.
I actually prefer it to be blocked, then I can use that as an excuse for my new job seeker employment service provider to provide me with another phone. Otherwise, how will they be able to get in contact with me?
I said the same thing to my previous employment service provider, and they gave me a voucher. I hope this one will too.
Howd you get it so cheap, cheapest i can find right now is $377.63, + tax = 415.83
I used these two.

What's your level of certainty that the phone will work after Australias 3g shutdown? Done some research and it may work but no guarantees.
@Cas3232: that phone is a 5g phone and fairly (june 2024). It's not it's fault that telstra decides to blacklist grey import devices. i'm not sure if it will work.
i personally hope it doesn't work, so my employment service provider will have to buy me a new phone for free.
@deangalanoz: Found some info over on Reddit that indicates that xioami phones in general have been whitelisted on the amaysim optus network, unsure about telstra, basically because they were trying to ban grey imports but because xioami sells global phones, they can't tell which are imports, so I think Chinese rom or not, AliExpress or not, should hopefully be whitelisted, as the redmi turbo 3 supports most bands and volte
@Cas3232: just be careful, the one i linked is also a chinese rom. so you need to know how to install the google playstore and apps yourself if you use them, ive done this many times so i'm familiar. Also it may be blacklisted.
i purchased because i dont care if it's blacklisted or not (prefer it to be). If it's blacklisted, i get a reason not to have to talk to my employment service provider and they will have to buy me another phone.
if youre not in my situation, it might not be the best.
@deangalanoz: Yeah your in a unique situation haha, personally though if it fails I'll just refund the phone, keep it boxed brand new, my current phone (Motorola g84) is cracked badly, so time for an upgrade, $350 is a good price to risk on a phone.
@Cas3232: it's a good deal. 8GB ram, 256GB internal memory, 120hz refresh, amoled, UFS 4.0, 8s gen 3 (almost identical to 8 gen 2), 90w fast charge, decent camera (not the best). But all that for $320 - $370 is a freaking good deal
security might be an issue, but im going to be using it for some gaming, revanced app like twitter, tiktok, youtube, reddit (No ads), stremio/torrentio/alldebrid to watch movies and tv shows, anime.
i do banking and messaging on a separate phone i purchased over here, it's a basic cheap one though, just need it for security updates and important apps.
@deangalanoz: Absolutely a fantastic deal, was gonna nab the s22 but few years old, two more major os updates, lower specs, main reason I nabbed the xioami turbo 3 is the Bluetooth specs,
5.4, aptx and cause it's Qualcomm 8s gen 3 it should support lossless audio, really it's got all the cutting edge specs you'd want,iPhone would be good if it wasn't so darn expensive, that and I don't like their limited OS capabilities and locked ecosystem.
@deangalanoz: Thought id share this info with you for peace of mind, did some extensive research and found a few recently sold redmi turbo 3's from china, (aliexpress or otherwise) ran those IMEI numbers through telstra 3g block checker and it clears, and as a second attempt asked the seller on aliexpress for the IMEI of the redmi 3 i ordered and ran that through telstra blocker and it clears,
Looks like it shouldn't be blocked by telstra atleast, 4g and 5g supported, has all required bands, only potential problem is VolTE, apparently volte emergency calling is required when 3g shuts off (if it hasnt already), and theres some doubt on if xioami supports that,
I'd really love to clear all this up as i'm sure alot of people are wondering if overseas xioami phones work in australia over telstra/optus/vodaphone, i'll update here once i've received the phone and tested it properly.
@Cas3232: alright, thanks for that.
Any Amaysim sim card deals coming up ?
Wasnt a new s22 $499 like last week?
