This is a strong robust fan. It also has an oscillation function to cover all areas. It is a tad noisy but I can handle it.

I'm on mains power here.
you can get dc motor pedestal fans as well
I always run my fans at full power so not much point. AC cheaper and less circuitry to fail.
@gougou8: DC fans are also more power efficient so if this fan uses 120W, a DC equivalent should use <60W
@BROKENKEYBOARD: Garbage.
What the hell is all this fuss about DC fans on every fan post these days?
+1
Oh I've upset the DC fan fans.
Just DC fans will suffice
@cheesusme: only fans?
People blindly assume they're more efficient without checking the efficiency of the transformer.
Many folk are bad at noticing the "Up to…" phrase and take it to mean "Typically".I'm one of those wierdos who took their Kill-a-Watt to bunnings before deciding on a fan, and due to cheap transformers, they were all similar.
DC was notably quieter though - They do have that advantage.
What make or model would you suggest, Iām after a couple that moves a lot of air, cheers and thanks
Kogan DC Pedestal Fan is a classic.
This is the same brand that Bunnings have set up in their aisles (wall mounted type). You can go see them live in action at your local store. This particular model is the smaller version than those and is on a pedestal. It is significantly stronger than domestic pedestal fans of the same size. As it is an AC fan (as opposed to DC) it lacks the ability to run at low speed so may not be suitable to use indoors. I use it in a large living room and it is perfect because I just run it during the day at full speed. The construction of the fan is excellent and should last many years.
Thank you
I have this fan.
I use it in the house to move stale air around.
Moves air much more than the Vornado 660 (by a lot).
It is loud. but it's effective.
The build of the fan is very solid. Completely metal.The use case is when I'm cooking and the whole house smells, this thing blasts the air.
Shoot it towards an open door/window or let oscillate to push the air.Thanks for the info
Got one for the home gym and used it tonight. Very happy with it š
I hope you're not using this indoors. You should grab a DC fan for that.
