Almost identical to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/874717 which I was actually looking at disappointedly because I missed out. Looks like the sales are back on again.

You can get the 1TB model for A$125.19 (US$81.29) and the 2TB for A$179.39 (US$116.48) PLUS they've got $20 for orders over A$150, so for the 2TB you're down to A$159.39.

I clicked literally the same link as in the post above, so it's got the same reputation as was discussed there. Others have pointed out that it's legit.

  • Edit: missed a space in the title. That's it.

  • Will this fit in my new Mac Mini?

    • You can put it under the Mac Mini arena.

But seriously, you can put it in a Sharge Disk or similar and connect to it over USB-C.

      Tim Apple says no.

The internal storage on the new M4 Mac Minis is replaceable but uses a proprietary interface (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJPXLE9uPr8). So standard M.2 SSDs will not work. Hopefully third-parties will come up with (or reverse engineer) some options.

$151.61 for 2tb one here when using coins and either AUCF20 or AU1120
10,000+ items sold, 97.4% positive reviews, aliexpress choice.

Idk if this verifies their legitimacy, but I'm sure an aliexpress expert can weigh in.

After you receive it and plug the serial number into the WD warranty checker, you can see if its a legit item.

That's what I did, and mine from Aliexpress is legit.

    • A fake WD SN770 would be a first. Certainly a lot of effort to achieve very little.

Cheaper and better ways of selling "fake SSDs".

+1 for your input and for great replies, cheers for helping to legitimise this - I'm always wary with Ali products too, and I only really trusted this one enough to post because it was LITERALLY the same link as a previous OzB post!

2TB should be about $135A historically for a good price

So this is what the Xbox Series consoles use as expansion storage but put a fancy Seagate enclosure around it & charge quadruple the price. Come on Microsoft, you should of did it like the PS5.

  • I bought a 1TB from this store a week ago, arrived yesterday. Its legit
