See why Costco in the US have purachsed over 100,000 bottles of this wine. Napa quality 90+ Cabernet Sauvignon at a price Napa can't get near!

No inflated RRPs. No outrageous discounts. No old vintages of allegedly expensive wines that we’ve not been able to sell to China. Just great value, fresh wines at wholesale prices.

92 points, Wine Spectator Magazine (US). Maryann Worobiec, Senior Editor & Napa Bureau Chief. "The core of this rich and succulent red oozes with ripe huckleberry and marionberry flavors that show hints of sage, dried bay leaf, cigar box and spices, with plenty of white pepper and fresh cracked black pepper on the finish. The tannins are firm and muscular, but never get in the way of the rich flavors. Drink now through 2033."

91pts Wine Enthusiast Magazine (Best Buy). 'This is distinctively aromatic, with oodles of fresh herbs and spices like mint and sage. It smells like blackberry jam smudged over the charred pan scrapings of a roast—a whisper of something meaty and sanguine present. The palate is rich and full but balanced and fresh despite the concentrated black fruit and smudgy, herbal tannins. A characterful drop that's begging to be paired with a roast.'

Vintage: The 2021 vintage was an excellent one on the Limestone Coast. Weather during flowering was ideal for good fruit set. The season was relatively mild with only one day of reasonably intense heat (in late January), rain was also minimal meaning minimal disease pressure. The conditions from late February through to April allowed the red varieties to ripen slowly so winemakers could pick at optimum ripeness. The reds have exceptional colour, intensity and great fruit expression.

Winemaking: Crushed and destemmed before fermentation in a static stainless steel fermenter. It spent 9 days on skins before draining off the wine for maturation. Oak was predominantly French Oak.

Only 226 cases available.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2033.

Screwcap. Vegan.

Winemaker: Bec Hardy.

    • @avinit86 Love your work! If there’s one deal, everybody should be on this year from us. It’s this one. :-)

  • Just sampling this wine with our dinner & both partner & self found it to be delicious - so ordered 2 packs.

@rcj thank you. I'm always loathe to give a personal opinion on wines but of all the wines we have made for Costco in the US, this is the best one IMHO. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. Cheers! RD :-)

Not an expert by any means but for me these wines are consistantly good- an absolute steal at this price - if anyone is on the fence really recommend getting a sampler pack and giving them a go.

And if you can swing by and see the team at Mclaren Vale all the better - its a proper beautiful vineyard not some non-descript warehouse !

  • Thanks @stdanjomcbanjo for the big rap! Love seeing OzB folks at cellar door and each year at the Good Food & Wine Shows! Cheers! RD :-)

  • Thanks RD, bought this last time you posted. Great drop - just bought another 2 cases. Christmas sorted!

    • @brew Awesome! Thanks so much for the order. Merry Christmas! Can't believe it is coming up so fast! RD :-)
