  • Mah I love my G8 LS34BG850 but damn does the OSD annoy the crap out of me……Why Samsung, WHY?

    • damn and yeh I'm sick of the DP failure to wake issue on my G8 34 UW

      • I have left the power brick on my desk just for that reason. When I put my PC on and I get those annoying beeps, I turn the PC off, unplug and reinsert in the IEC cable, and then turn the PC on.

Oh and I've tested HDMI and DP, does it on both.

        • such a joy

          • @gazer: Do we know if the issue has been resolved in this newer model G8?

@Gracey: Considering Samsung has been ignoring all the forums begging them to fix the OSD issue, and they said no, I wouldn't hold your breathe.

            • @Gracey: I saw a user on Reddit say no

@gazer: Which is a shame because the image is amazing. I wish I had paid a bit more for the Alienware version. But I got this for a good deal at $935.

I am guessing this will probably be the lowest we will see this monitor for even with black friday

  • Buy from Scorptec if free metro shipping is useful for you

Something noteworthy I've learnt since purchasing one yesterday, Samsung cover burn-in under the 3 year warranty with the revised model.

There's also "OLED Safeguard' with this model (automatic/adaptive brightness)

This or the AW34 QD OLED from Dell?

I was able to get this for 899.10 delivered from Samsung direct by asking for a promo from customer service (10% off) and trading in an old monitor ($200 off)
