As part of AliExpress 11.11 sales, the following NVR and camera packages can be had for ATL pricing, if you tick all the boxes. “All the boxes”includes taking advantage of their price drop for singles day, an automatic seller discount, using an AliExpress code, a Reolink Direct code and a coins balance which you may or may not have. It does not include up to $60 more which you may receive from your cashback provider of choice if it is deemed eligible - so the final price may be even cheaper. Given the amount of coupons and discounts already being applied to a sale price item, it’s entirely possible that the transaction will be deemed ineligible, so treat it like a bonus, if you get it.

As briefly as possible, Reolink are a perennial OzBargain favourite due to their solid build quality, bang for buck and zero subscription fees. You can buy direct, from eBay or Amazon, or for a considerable discount from AliExpress. And because they are shipped from NSW, no additional GST is payable on the quoted AliExpress price, albeit they are priced in US dollars by default, so pay in $US with you currency conversion fee free credit card for best rates.

They’ve got a heap of cams, NVRs and combos on sale, but for the purposes of this post on concentrating on one-stop shop NVR and 4 cam packages. And because it’s OzBargain, I’m focusing on the value segment of the market. These are midrange 8MP and 5MP cams which are a couple years old - so are no competition for the latest 12MP and 16MP advanced commercial cams, but are accessible via the NVR or phone app by default and include microSD card slots in addition to the NVR storage. They are reliable, well built with mature firmware including AI functionality with Car/Person/Pet detection and hit that resolution vs file size sweet spot to ensure you have sufficient detail to identify intruders without exhausting the modest but upgradeable 2TB drive too quickly.

2TB RLK 8CH NVR + 4 x 820A 8MP Turret cameras = US$380.96 - Expired (Doesn't ship to Australia)
Minus $10 seller discount, minus $20 store coupon REOLINK1695 minus $60 AliExpress coupon minus 4191 coins = US$249.05 = AU$378.21

2TB RLK 8CH NVR + 4 x 520D4 5MP Turret cams = $US270.00 - Expired (Doesn't ship to Australia)
Minus $10 seller discount, minus $10 store coupon REOLINK1694 minus $40 AliExpress coupon minus 2970 coins = US$180.30 = AU$274.10

Note, in the 8MP range, there are three other choices in turret and bullet designs. It’s generally a matter of personal preference, but turrets generally work better when mounted under soffits, whereas bullets generally work better mounted off walls. The two slightly cheaper options are crippled to ensure they only work with the included NVR, so pay the extra $15 bucks to get the 810A (bullet) or 820A (turret) over the neutered B800 or D800 options.

Granted, you’ll pay a little more if you use the above links and do not have the necessary coins to max out the discount. You can’t link to the coins page in AliExpress app, so ensure you navigate to coins to get the $11 discount rather than the max 5% it caps out at on their main linked page.

Hopefully you’ll qualify for the extra cashback too. If I do, a 4 x 8mp cam + 2TB NVR will have cost me just $328. It’s my intent to use the great reddit support group below to use it as the basis for two seperate systems - one for the folks using the NVR plus 2 of the cams, and one for myself using a SFF minipc running free NVR software Frigate using the other 2 cams. I’ve already got some Duos and Trackmix’s that I’ll use for the different setups thanks to previous OzBargain deals, but there’s some great prices available for other cameras for anyone else looking to max out their other 4 vacant channels. Check out The Hook Up’s channel on YouTube for some great comparisons of their entire camera lineup.

Ended up paying $351.02 inc cashback.

Nice work! Good result after paying slight overs initially.

Shopback didn't work at all for me, but did for an extra camera I bought an hour later using the exact same process on the iPhone - at all of $5.86!

I clearly tempted fate when suggesting in the original post that cashbacks were a roll of the dice. Glad to hear that yours came through…

  • Trying to checkout "some items are out of stock. Refresh the page…"

Yet all the items I'm trying to purchase show in stock. Any suggestions?

  • Do you enter the REOLINK1695 code at checkout, or somewhere else? I get the message "This coupon code is for single use only and can't be used here"

  • I have tye 2TB NVR and 4 camera systek plus doorbell.i can vouch for it as had no hiccup since installed a year ago .everything just works all the time .my only complain woukd be the doorbell not having answer from phone feature that most comp6etotors do ! Very basic feature that was advertised to be available in latest firmware but i could not get it working

    • It works on my doorbell. In fact I don't have the NVR so that's the primary way I used the doorbell.

      • Do you need to have all the notification ON for it to send the ringing to your phone ? Because i want it to ring my phone only when someone rings and leave me alone about every moving object !

    • Out of interest, how long are you finding the retention lasts for your 4 cams + 1 doorbell?

Are they 5mp, 8mp or other?

    • Sighs.i just purchased it without the $20 discount. Thibking to cancel my order and buy again… sighs

    • OZAF90 not working

      • Yes it is. Minimum spend $359.

    • Where do I enter the store voucher code?

      • +1

Store and Ali codes can both be entered on the final checkout screen, under “Promo codes”.

        • Thank you. For some reason it wasn't working for me before - but it's working now.

    • Getting an error trying to add AU1165

      It says

Sorry, the coupon you entered is based on a first come first served basis.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong here?

      • Either the allocation has been exhausted or you've already used it before, since there's a finite number approved each day and they are single use per user.

Have you tried any of the alternate codes linked in the Original Coupon Deal?

  • My shopback didn’t track sadly. Forgot to disable ABP though.

    • Scratch that it did eventually track

  • So if I have power to the NVR and stick the NVR in the roof space with no monitor and spoke off all the POE cable runs to the cameras, can I log into the NVR via putting the NVR IP into any browser on any of the other workstations on the network?

  • I’ve added all the code without the coins. It comes to $465 aud. Anyone else having the same for the 820a package?

    • Yes same here

      Can someone please help us.

      What are we doing wrong

      • on phone app
        1. open ShopBack
        2. search for aliexpress upsize
        3. within shopback app - on aliexpress page search for Reolink 8CH
        4. In serahc result select you item - this will take you to aliexpress app
        5. select option and add item in aliexpress
        6. make sure you select USD currently for maximum benifit
        7. On checkout page try following promo codes
        a: OZAF90 or OZAF65
        b: REOLINK1697

See if this brings down the cost. Good Luck

        • Thanks will try this

  • Guessing 2TB is plenty for running 4 cameras 24/7?

    • Is the local storage secure btw? I heard cloud for eufy brand was not secure?

    • Not likely. I suspect you'll get less than a week's retention, especially if you're using the 8MP cameras unless you downscale the retained resolution.

I'm waiting to see what hardware version of the NVR is received (fingers crossed for the latest N7MB01) since different versions of the RLN8 and RLK8 NVR (both are fundamnetally the same, but the latter is sold in bundled kits with cams) can officially handle upgrades to 4tb, 6tb and 8tb on the internal drive plus whatever you may wish to attach via the SATA port. Unofficially, some people are reporting maxed out 8 camera setups with up to 20tb+ drives getting over a month's retention, but there seems to be a lot of inconsistency between different harddrives and different NVR versions and firmware.

      Different hardware revisions and officially supported drives listed below;
      https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000602543-H…

A couple (of many!) reddit discussions on the topic to whet the appetite…

      https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/myll2f/max_inte…

      • ok, so I guess we wait and see until we know for sure whether we know the limits of the internal drive + external

        • Hopefully all NVRs are from the same (latest? 🤞) hardware version which seem to be the most accommodating of HDD size and brands.

I'll post which version I receive if anyone doesn't beat me to it, but it will be a case of all care no responsibility, since Reolink only guarantee up to 8tb drives.

It will be interesting to see how far we can push the envelope and what kind of drive the included 2tb is. There's lots of forum posts from people doing hdd upgrades who repurpose the included drive as their secondary E-sata drive via an adaptor.

      • So would it be recommended to get specific type of drive?

For eg endurance type card for dashcams

        • Definitely.

Either Surveillance or at least NAS drives are highly recommended due to the constant writing and extended duty cycles.

If you're not familiar with the different models (as I'm not beyond WD Purple and Red, and Seagate Ironwolf drives), just search Amazon for "Surveillance + harddrive" or "NAS + HDD" to see some options. With all the takers for this deal, I'm sure a decent Black Friday / Cyber Monday 8tb surveillance drive deal will get a few upvotes…

@UncleRico: I'll be looking to pickup something from East Digital HK

          • @UncleRico: Thanks man

Any websites to learn more about these things

Also what about things like preventing your local storage of recordings from being hacked

            And rtsp to capture footage?

            • @ATTS: No sweat. I'm just learning myself, but there's a wealth of knowledge in the forum in the OP - https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/

Hey guys, just thought I'd post here because I couldn't find information anywhere else. I have a RLN8 that I bought as a standalone unit off Aliexpress that came with a 2TB HDD. It came with the latest firmware N7MB01. Apparently the auto-update on this NVR doesn't work so I manually updated this unit to the latest firmware v3.5.0.321_24060733.

I have a Seagate Exos X18 18TB drive and tried that but it wouldn't mount or format. Did a bit of reading online and it seems like 16TB might be the limit for this model. I ended up buying a Seagate Exos X16 12TB drive from East Digital. It arrived today and it mounted and formatted fine.

Haven't had a chance to install cameras at home yet so don't know if recording and playback works. Have heard reports online that playback does not work after the drive has reached 8TB but others have reported that everything works fine so will have to wait and find out. Hope this helps anyone looking for information on what drives to get to upgrade this NVR.

        • Great info - thanks for sharing.

Online forums suggest hardware version N7MB01 in concert with the last couple firmwares, are the most flexible for accepting larger hdd’s, including the EXOS 18tb, so it’s a shame it doesn’t work for you. Anecdotally I’ve read a lot more posts about people having success with 8TB+ on the X16 than the X18, so hopefully the X16 12tb works fine for you. Good luck!

As you point out, the great unknown is how they handle it once you exceed 8tb of recorded data. Please report back once you’re over the 8tb threshold. And good luck filling up your 18tb with Linux ISO’s…

  • have been looking into getting a new system as well. how does reolink compare with tp-link vigi which is similar in price point? thanks

    • +1

I've only got one Tapo cam which isn't running off an NVR at present, so I can't comment on how their NVR hardware or software compares, but my single TP-Link Tapo cam feels a lot more plasticky than the various Reolink cams I've assembled.

Lots of online comparisons, including the quote "I have tried both extensively. Both work very well with scrypted. Build quality and motion sensors on the Reolinks are much better. Motion sensors on Tapo are unacceptable (check Tapo forums)." from the first hit below from googling "Reolink vs Tapo NVR"
      https://www.reddit.com/r/Scrypted/comments/1c9xyq5/tapo_vs_r…

There's further opinions pro and anti each option, but if you're looking at pricepoint and bang for buck, the Reolink 4 x 5MP cam / 2TB 8ch NVR deal lands at under AU$260 minus any cashback you receive. Not sure that there's an equivalent Tapo deal for anywhere under double that price…

      • thanks for the feedback. and would you say the 8MP is worth the upgrade in terms of performance? I read in my research not to chase the MP, though the 8MP looks to have a larger sensor (1/2.49" CMOS Sensor vs 1/2.7" CMOS Sensor) so it would perform better at night time?

        • Yeah, I'm conflicted and don't actually know.

Conventional wisdom is that 4-8mp cams are the sweet spot and it's a law of diminishing returns beyond that. Whilst the 8mp qualifies for a bigger coupon discount than the 5mp pack ($60+$20 vs $40+$20), the 5mp list price dropped $80 for Singles Day, whereas the 8mp only dropped $20, so it's a really strong value proposition. Both cams are same generation and were released at the same time - Oct 20, so should have very similar functionality with latest firmware. Apart from the sensor size you noted, the only other changes apart from the resolution and price, is the slightly larger field of view and addition of Pets on the 8mp to the listed Person & Vehicle detection capabilities of the 5mp, and the resulting max FPS drop from 30 fps on the 5mp to 25 on the 8mp, presumably as a result on the bigger resolution and filesize.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on the 5mp pack as well, with the intent on using 2 x 8mp for front yards plus 2 x 5mp for back yards (supplemented by a variety of existing Duo, Trackmix and ColorX cams) on two different installations. Presuming that the included cams aren't bound somehow to their existing NVRs.

          • @UncleRico: thanks, probably make sense on the 5mp, save some money for a future upgrade (looking at the Duo and CX series)!

            • +1

              @taxdeduction: Agreed.

I spoke with Noora again on online support and she confirmed that cameras are not tied to their bundled NVR, so the 5mp and 8mp can be split across different installations. I'm going to order another 5mp bundle as well.

I'd do exactly as you're planning and grab the 4 x 5mp 520A pack, and then supplement with Duo's and ColorX cams as per your use case. Also consider the excellent Trackmix line - although beware, they are huge. Can't think of a better visual deterrent than a big panning, tilting and zooming cam following any intruder across the property…

        • Could i ask, i just assumed people would chase the MP.

If MP not too important, then what specs would be important? Besides the sensor size, would anything else be important?

Just received my order. They must have a warehouse in Sydney.

    • +1

First cab off the rank! Fingers crossed that mine is waiting for me at home, although past Reolink deliveries have always been diverted to the post office when someone wasn't home to accept delivery.

I'm not sure whether it's printed on it anywhere, but let us know what hardware version of the RLK8 NVR you received so we can all start planning HDD upgrades. Hopefully it's the latest N7MB01.

      https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000602543-H…

  • Received today in Sydney, less than 48 hours after order. First impressions, albeit before commissioning any cameras;

    • Received RLN8-410 NVR, rather than advertised RLK8-410. Both units are identical, but the N variant is sold standalone, whereas the K variety is typically sold in bundles often alongside nobbled cams lacking UID numbers or SDcard slots limiting their usage beyond the included NVR. Fanless, silent operation. Good start.
    • RNL8-410 configuration reinforced by seperate packaging for NVR, 4 x 18m network cables (unmarked but presumed CAT5 or 5e) and 4 individually packed and wrapped RLC-820A’s, retail edition. SD cards supported and I’ve got a cheap set of 10 x 128gb Patriot (non-endurance) micro SDs that I’ll stick in each cam and configure to record motion only, just as a back up.
    • Hardware version V3 N7MB01 - the latest version with official support for all cameras (including solar battery wifi) up to 16mp and hard-drives up to 8tb. Anecdotal reports of online users successfully upgrading to 20tb drives.
    • Included HDD is a 2TB Toshiba DT02ABA200V with a date stamp of 10APR2024. It’s small and likely good for only a week of storage for 4 cams and a doorbell at normal 24/7 settings, but is a dedicated surveillance drive so should be up to the duty cycle. No software is stored on it, so an upgrade to a bigger drive to improve retention will follow as soon as I can source one.

Early days and no testing on operation, but really impressed to have received an individual retail kit comprising individual parts. Should make it very easy to chop and change cameras between this system and a small Frigate install I’ll run off a spare 5 port POE switch. I’ll probably even grab one of the bargain 5mp bundles at $260 before the promo runs out once I’ve bolstered my coins account. That way, I can set up three installations. Hope everyone else receives the same good fortune.

    • cool, mine should be coming tomorrow.

    • +1

Received mine this morning and also got everything packed individually

      • RLN8-410
      • RLC-820A
      • -1

Great to hear. Let's hope all 8mp orders receive the same.

Looking forward to hearing if any of the 5mp orders have the same luck…

  • Coupons not working? Lowest I could get it down to is $296.91 USD for the 820A bundle

    • Same, best I could get was $286 USD.

      $10USD seller discount
      $20USD store coupon codes REOLINK1697
      $19USD coins (1905) 5% max
      $45USD AliExpress coupon codes AU1170

      • Code OZAF90 is tested and still working fine for US$60 off US$359+. It only works on the more expensive 8mp version, since the 5mp bundle is less than $359.

If coins are maxing out at 5% discount rather than 11%, it’s because you’re purchasing from the direct link rather than via the (unlinkable) coins page.

You’ve got to read and follow the details or you’re gonna have a bad time…

        • Thanks UncleRico.

Coins worked, but still not able to use the OZAF90.

Trying to get the 820A and using OZAF90 says "This coupon code is for single use only and can't be used here" even with the total being USD$370.96 having all discounts turned off.

          • @altovista: That's a strange one, since I've just again attempted it and the code is still active and applies fine to my cart. I presume you haven't already used the code on another purchase? And are you trying via the mobile app or website, since it's definitely still working on the former.

Are you getting the same error message for the other US$60 off codes listed on the Original Coupon Deal?
            OZAF90 AUAF90 AU1190

I've used the latter two - AUAF90 & AU1190 already, so can't test if they're still working, but they may still be operational if OZAF90 won't apply to your account for any reason. Failing that, you can usually find global or US codes on the Ali website which apply the same discount. I'd source a few of them and see if you can get lucky.

            • @UncleRico: Hey buddy I've been getting the same error as the user above should I be trying on the mobile app?

OZAF90 gives me same as above
"This coupon code is for single use only and can't be used here"

My account isn't new and I have a semi recent purchase in my history

I would love to jump in and get some of this gear but it's been a bit difficult

              • @Sammy Boi: Same advice as multiple above. Just checked codes and they are still working, but are single use only and the biggest discount code only applies to the more expensive pack. If your semi-recent purchase used the same code, you can’t user it again, and if you’ve only selected the 5mp bundle, you can’t use the biggest US$60 code, only a $40 Ali discount code.

If/when codes expire, there’s plenty info on alternatives on the AliExpress app and site, as well as plenty of coupon posts and comments in this thread about alternate codes,

If you are not receiving the full coins discount (codes and coin discounts are fully itemised on the checkout page) it’s because you’ve tried to buy directly from the link on the OP (rather than via the unsinkable Coins page which is just a click away from the landing page) or because you’ve added other things to your basket which counteract the default coins discount for these items. Avoid that issue by clicking through to your bundle of choice from the coins page (with its search bar if it doesn’t show up by default) and clicking the Buy It Now button rather than the Add to Cart.

It will still take you through to a checkout screen where you can enter the two discount codes to get the lowest price. Don’t forget, you’ll only get the maximum price if you have already accrued the required coins. If you have less than required it will only apply however many you have. Note also, that the maximum coins discount today dropped from 11% to 7% off, so you’ll pay a little more ($15-23) if you had enough coins already.

And if you still can’t figure it out, try the phone app instead of the website, its a little more intuitive.

  • I really want to hit go on this but what's bugging me is even though I add it to cart from my coins page in the app, it only applies 5% off with coins, not the 11% shown on the ad listing. Frustrating!

    • Use the Buy Now button. That way it ignores anything else in your cart and maxes out any available coin discount.

      • That did the trick thank you!

  • Has anyone who ordered a 5mp bundle received theirs yet?

Interested in hearing whether the NVR is labeled RLK8-410 or RLN8-410.

Likewise, interested if the cameras are labelled RLC-520D4 or RLC-520A.

In both cases the former are the bundled parts which may or may not function well if separated, whereas the latter are individual components which tend to be easier to setup with alternate software, NVRs or cams.

    • I just got mine yesterday its RLK8-520D4-5MP, am i screwed? lol will it work with non bundled extra cameras?

      • Not necessarily. You should be able to add an extra cameras from the Reolink lineup without issue.

Where bundled cams can have an issue, is whether the cams included in your kit can be used in any other non-Reolink NVR and whether they will accept an sdcard to perform local backups.

Can you confirm what is written on the camera boxes and whether they have a position on each cam where you can store an sdcard?

        • Oh i see, I will open and check and get back to you, so normally the Reolink NVR can work with non Reolink cameras?

          • @viper8548: Any luck, mate?

If you’re not ready to open them up yet, they should have the model number on the camera box, assuming that the bundled 5mp had individually packed cams. If it’s labelled as 520A it definitely has a UID and SD-card slot so can work with other NVRs or software installs. If it’s marked otherwise, you’d probably have to do a visual to check for SD Card slot, since it may or may not have one or UID identifier and advanced AI features. The 8mp pack is definitely fully fledged - we’re just waiting for an 5mp owner to confirm if their’s are too.

Different NVR versions often work with other cams, if they are listed as ONVIF compliant which the RLK8 & RLN8 are. The flavour of the off-brand cams will ultimately determine this since the RLK8-410 and RLN8-410 are essentially the same.

It is the bundled cams which can differ from the individually sold versions, with little performance difference when configured alongside the included NVR, but less functional, configurable or compatible if deploying with a different NVR or software install such as Frigate, since they are essentially stripped down versions to keep costs low when sold in concert with the NVR which provides more of the smarts and configuration options.

            • @UncleRico: there’s no individual boxes for each camera, inside the box there’s 2 boxes one for the nvr and one for the 4 cameras which has a sticker that says 4x520D

              • @viper8548: Thanks. Will be interesting to see if they have the SDcard slot and AI pet/person/vehicle detection which the 520A and 8mp bundle have.

                • @UncleRico: cant say for sure about model numbers (installed them all it annoying to access spaces already), but my 5mp set has people, motion and pet flags on the playback section, so i guess so?

  • Anyone using the NVRs, does it need to accessible for any work (firmware upgrade for cameras) or can I conceal it in the roof cavity?

The Reddit link mentions that all cameras connected to the NVR use the same setting, is that true?

    • I'd be concerned about the heat

  • Got my 810A kit delivered today! Anyone in Melbourne interested in swapping a single 820A camera for an 810A?

    • +1

I contemplated sourcing similar swaps to mix turrets and bullet style cams, but in the end just grabbed a couple more 510A’s (5mp version of the 810A) from AliExpress at around AU$35 each. As you likely already know, the 510A and 810A are fairly entry level and have no source lighting, but at least the A designation means they should have decent AI implementation for person/vehicle/pet detection, so you can configure them well to only alert you based on whatever you’re looking out for.

Ideally, if you can find another few bucks, supplementing your new 820A’s with something which can provide source lighting - such as the Duo 2 or 3, Trackmix or colour night vision enabled CX410 or CX810 would bolster your night coverage whilst also providing improved ambient light for your existing cams in the vicinity.

It’s amazing how easily you can find spots for cams once you look hard. In my case, I’m going to deploy a couple of the original turrets in the garage and al fresco areas where I wouldn’t otherwise have planned on covering, and dropping the 510A/810As up the side of the house where their narrow field of view should work well.

      Good luck with your swap.

      • Is there like a really loud siren you can attach to the cameras?

        • +1

Yep. Virtually every cam that Reolink sells has a siren included which can be configured for certain events, with the notable exception of the 510, 520, 810 and 820 - hence the cheaper price of these bundles.

The link below outlines specs for the entire range, including siren and spotlight specs. Most of them can be purchased on sale plus codes at AliExpress till 19th Nov.

          • @UncleRico: Thanks man!

            • @ATTS: No problem at all.

Among the most popular at the moment are the ColorX line which have full colour night vision via the 4mp CX410 or 8mp CX810, the Duo range with their great wide angle dual lenses and the Trackmix which have auto pan, tilt and zooming to track all movement. All include sirens and would complement a couple 520 or 820’s in your monitored areas.

Whilst all are currently on sale at AliExpress and are eligible for multiple vouchers, they’ve just reduced the coins discount from a max of 11% to 7%, so they may be cheaper for Black Friday / Cyber Monday…

              • @UncleRico: Do you know if Reolink are going to release a Turret CX camera?

              • @UncleRico: I c Thanks for detailed post!

how are people dealing with setup/installation given these are hard wired one - self or hiring a handman?
looking for a cams for a while now, might buy these ones if installation is not that expensive

    • I’m going to have a crack at it myself over the next fortnight, before deciding if it goes into the too hard basket and I spend the $500-$1,000 (depending on complexity, length of runs and single vs double storey) which people are quoting. Whilst the risk is minimal with POE, technically a handyman shouldn’t be performing it either if he isn’t acreditted.

You may also want to budget on an 8tb surveillance or NAS drive since the included 2tb drive will only last a week if you set it up for 24/7 record on the 8mp cams.

      • Woah 500 to 1000 just for installation?

        • Bottom end for single storey but big premium for double, hence the wide $ range. Cheaper if you use the included 18m CAT5 cables rather than custom CAT6 runs (preferably with duplicate cabling and any required patch leads to/from your NVR, switches or routers), but you’ll likely end up with excess cabling in the roof and no spare runs for future installs or rat replacements.

          • @UncleRico: Thanks
Also What would be the noticeable benefits ofcat 6 vs cat 5e

            • @ATTS: None with these cams, since their required bandwidth do not exceed CAT5 specs.

But for alternate data usage if you’re doing runs for Ethernet back haul or home networking, CAT6 can run faster over longer distances. Good shielded cable will also be more resilient and potentially last longer than the included 18m runs, particularly if you size them for their runs rather than spooling up lots of surplus cable.

Going to get an ironwolf from East Digital

self install with it taking about 4 hrs all up, single story colourbond roof, wouldve been quicker but i spent some time running and terminating my own rj45 cables aswell as the premade ones.

Its easy enough to do if you know what youre doing, but slipping and putting a foot through your ceiling will make any installation price seem cheap then, ive run cables and stuff before so my times probably quicker than someone who hasnt

  • Looks like the 820A ad 520D are no longer shipping to Australia :-(

    • +2

In fairness, the deal was posted over a week ago. They frequently replenish - so hopefully something similar pops up with the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales.

  • Fingers crossed there will be an equivalent deal for Black Friday. Would I be stupid purchasing these now if I don't need them for another ~6 months?

  • I got the 820A turret cam kit - if anyone in Sydney wants to swap 1 or 2 of your 810A bullet cams for my turret cams let me know.

  • I had the impression that 820A kit included the network cables? My delivery was missing the cables. Had anyone else received cables with their orders?

    • I received network cables with my delivery

    • Yeah 4x box

    • Yep. Four brown cardboard boxes with an 18m CAT5 in each, with the same 820A kit…

    • +1

Thanks all! I have contacted the seller and apparently cables were out of stock hence it wasn’t included in my package. They will ship it to me when its back in stock.
