looks like their K2 Plus is finally about to ship

Influencer review videos have started appearing online

  • Spending all that money on a Creality printer known for its lack of quality control??? Yeah nahhh

I would rather recommend BambuLab that although it has its own demons, it is far better build, faster and no less important, better printing quality.
I had a BambuLab X1C before going opensource with Voron printers.

What bambu model would correspond with this?

Key feature I am looking for is 300x300 area, ability to print with ABS / PETG, easy to use.

      • The key features you 'should' be looking for is reliability. Creality are good if you are willing to troubleshoot constantly, theres no thermal runaway, constant supervision, constant replacement of parts. 300x300 sounds good, but reliability and consistency is even more important. The thing they dont tell you about printing ABS is it stinks like a crazy. And PETG is bed adhesion being a massive problem.

        • You guys have actually persuaded me to get a bambu model. I'm looking at the p1s, pity the AMS part is more expensive. For the part I want to print first it is actually just under 250mm. It is a car interior part so people were recommending ABS or PETG due to potential temps.

          • @Bargainer99: This is the way, I have the P1S and its a dream to print with, the enclosure is brilliant cause it keeps the environment constant for ABS prints. I didnt get the AMS but is tempted with the current sale.

          • @Bargainer99: I would get a carbon filled filament, like asa cf or abs gf as a first time 3d printer user. They print a lot well and easier.

        • I'm not sure any of this is generally true for the K1 series of printers.
I would agree for earlier Creality printers, i cant speak for current generation non K printers.

        • Good and troubleshooting constantly, so which one is it lol ?

          • @Ryxxi: Its good untill you have to fix things, kinda like an european car, great driving experience, but theres always something you have to fix.

      • Qidi Plus4 or X-Max 3 might be other options in this price range. They also have heated chambers which would open up more material options.

      • There isnt one from bambu, but you wont really need that extra 50x50mm. If you really wanted space you would build you own printer like a voron. Because creality is basically that, you spend half you time trying to fix the printer.

      • To be best of knowledge, I do not know a 300x300mm that requires no assembling and it's reliable without costing a kidney.
My Voron 300x300mm is fully DIY, it's a whole different beast.

I've been into this hobby for 4-5 years, from Creality to Prusa, Bambulab and now Voron, having a reliable printer matter more than bed size.
I can "not" touch my printer for months, turn it on and print high quality prints like nothing happened.

Having printers with never ending problems almost made me gave up when I started with an Ender3-V2

I use OrcaSlicer, I slice, send "upload and print" to my printer and go there to pick the print.
I cannot stress enough how a reliable printer makes 3D printing so much fun, period.

My new p1s just arrived. I'm looking forward to getting into the hobby!

          • @Bargainer99: That is awesome, don't rush, don't compare your prints with folks having thousands of hours into the hobby, if you aren't sure about something ask the community.

Happy printing and have fun :)

BL only goes up to 256 build size, so that's not the same market segment as a Max.

    • no large volume Bambu yet unfortunately. Hopefully the new flagship that's coming is 300+ though.

  • I'm looking at p1s combo but not sure on everyone's opinion on this vs p1s
    Or any other player

    • the K1 Max fulfils the need for larger print volumes.

If you're fine with the 256 build size, go with the P1S & AMS, particularly now while it's on sale for BF.

  • Very annoyed. The k2 was on sale today - It was $2569 - 20% for a saving of $300 (max the code allows).
Now it is jacked to $2869

    • yes I was goign to order a space pi but they jacked up the price. From 79 to 94. Consider yourself lucky tho, you wont have a good experience with their printers or get any support.

  • Why buy this crap ? just get a p1s for cheaper and you actually have warranty. If you check their FB group, theres still quality control issues..

People who can't do numbers shouldn't be telling others what to do

      • What are you smoking ? p1s shipped is $871, Creality filament is trash. The printer is trash, The customer support will be even more trash. You will spend half you time trying to get it to work.

You need to learn about plate sizes and build volumes

          • @mickeyjuiceman: Wrong!!
I've been in this hobby long enough to tell you that isn't the most important criteria.

Having a printer that actually works and do not require you to have a notebook with all the problems it has had is the most important thing.

I have a DIY Voron 300x300mm, the bigger the more attention is required during the build process.
Creality is well known for having crappy QAC, I've seen enough ugly looking prints from their so-called 300x300mm printer and users saying "it looks awesome" without truly understand all the problems

Plate size and build volume IS NOT everything..

      • Just look at the out of box issues customers post online.
