From what I've heard, this is strictly for straightening. She might've been talking about the airwrap if she was trying to create rolls. Will ask my brother's wife's sister's friend for confirmation though. 😌
I've got one and would probably agree, will be best for straightening or kind of wavy / loose curls, but it's pretty incredible for that. If you're going for the tight curls, probably stick with a standard straightener, or as flirtingwithwidows says, the airwrap has the various attachments some of which do curling
