From memory shaver gets mixed reviews on the shave quality on OzB. I'm due for a replacement head on a much loved Series 7..have bought this and will see how it goes.
Wet-Dry a big draw for meNote for others - price is $399 direct through shaver shop. They also have a trade in price of $350 but little info on what you have to trade in. For me, I don't mind hanging on to my old one in case this flops

I shipped my shaver in the Braun shaver travel case it originally came with but that’s all. Still very easy to tell what shaver and make it is though
For what it’s worth for others
First shave with this and it was great. Was a little worried as old braun one had three proximity settings and I’d always go lightest given sensitive skin, whereas this doesn’t. But shave was close, no skin irritation, worked great, very light and easy to use.
Was worried given mixed sentiment from others but after one shave it was much better than my series 7@original15 How's your experience with the shaver after 2 weeks? For the Shaver Shop invoice, does it show the full amount of $799 with ~$72.64 GST? I'm travelling overseas soon so might TRS it

Still happy with it. Find it very easy and quicker to use that the 7. Though think now I appreciate the difference in closeness some mention. On the day of shave it’s as close as my previous shaver, but I used to be able to shave on say a Sunday night and just survive through to Tuesday 5pm without too much of a shadow. Now though I feel the Tuesday arvo it’s a bit too much shadow, so would shave Monday morning, which is ok cos this is an effective and quick shaver. But hey, this doesn’t factor in if in the warmer months my facial hair grows more, any diet or hormonal related variables, or whether it’s actually different or I’m just paying more attention. In any case, pretty happy with it and wouldn’t swap back. The cleaning station is sensitive though, after a shave it gives me a 3 stage/deep clean rating
Whereas the 7 wouldn’t. Not that I mind, tend to clean after each shave anyway@original15: @original15 Thanks for the 2 week review. I'm currently using an 11 year old Series 5 from this deal so it's been a solid 11 years now. Haven't changed the foils or any parts but I find I have to go over certain spots on the neck several times.
I usually shave once or twice a week and my Series 5 still works so I'm still undecided whether to get it since it will be ATL price as far as I can tell (will cost approx $220 after all the rebates).
@escusemay: Wow no foil change in 11 years? One time my face kept breaking out in a rash/ irritation which put down to using a foil for 2yrs.
$220 for model with no cleaner? Station was a must for me

Why arent there any foil shavers without the trimmer in the middle. On acne prone skin they destroy the acne.
Can only find tiny travel foil shavers without the trimmer bit. These run on AA batteries aren't as powerful.
