Tried 2 bags from you guys on the last deal and I'm nearly finished, so perfect timing! I really enjoyed these beans and they grinded & extracted great on my Breville Barista Express :) Will purchase more today!

Outstanding to hear life-hack!! So glad you enjoyed them and thanks for sharing.

      Cheers

    • Just wondering which settings worked best for your Barista Express when using this coffee bean. Thank you!

      • +1

It depends on a few factors. I think my inner bur is on a 5 or 6 and the external grind setting is 7 or 8. Don't know on top of my head but think it's around there. But best to try dial your beans in to find the perfect extraction. I prefer a 18g in, 36g out whereas their recipe is a bit different. So my advice is to keep trying a few different ways to find what suits best.

        • Thanks!

  • When does this expire?

    • Hey callumkhang - at this stage it's scheduled for Friday. You can see on the post above the expiry date at the bottom of the description - subject to change.

I hope that helps and thanks for asking.
      Cheers Dan

I've never tried your coffee but do you have anything for coffee lovers?
Perhaps a natural carbonic maceration or maceration inside a real natural virgin spring water mountain?

Something for the speciality coffee lovers!

Hey there neofelis - thanks for asking - All of our coffee is for coffee lovers :)

      • -2

Anything such as Winey, boozy, strawberries, red currants, red stone fruit, ripe raspberries etc

  • Cheers i just run out my beans today!

  • Thanks so much Htam - great to hear the timing worked for you!

I see these beans on here a lot, can someone give their take on whether it's worth giving these a go over the $11 aldi dark roast?

    • Hey there Mudkip and thanks for your question - I will let the OzB crew answer obviously but if I can help with any other questions reach out any time.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Yes I wonder the same. For $11 and always freshly roasted the Aldi dark roast is hard to beat.

      • -5

Medium is good. Both commodity coffee won't be any difference between this at $35 vs Aldi $14 a kg. Different regions but the aldi stuff was fresh last time I had it.
Wife said it made a good coffee - I didn't like the profile (malt, chocolate and no fruit profiles) but I enjoy really nice coffee - this week's coffee bill came to $180 - 3kg Koke yirgacheffe GR-1

        https://roastedin.au/products/cartel-colombia-flor-del-desie…

This is probably the best Columbian coffee I've had… Ever. I believe Nathan is in Columbia at the moment sourcing more Columbian coffee so will be excited to see what he finds as the regions coffee is becoming insanely good!!!!!

        • +2

this deactivated account is just trying to sell his own overpriced coffee

      • @nubzy How do you know when they are roasted? Is there a roast date on the pack or just a best before?

        • The expiry and roast dates are just below the flap. For example, if the bag was roasted Christmas day it would be 20241225 which is YYYYMMDD.

    • I tried the Sumatra blend I purchased last time, and before that, I tried ALDI’s single-origin Colombia. Both have very similar taste profiles.

    • I swear the aldi coffee is more like $20 now

      • Bought 1kg Dark roast yesterday - $11.99

    • I've had a few goes with the aldi ones, and honestly they are my go to if I run out of other beans. I find they give a few nice cups, but really inconsistent and less crema, especially after they're open for a few days. But I throw them in the bin when my airjo beans arrive.

    • We also using Aldi. Have tried other brands. Some tasted a bit better but never WOWED us enough to justify 2-3 times the price. Having 2 coffees/day so we are only talking around $1.70 more/day for 2people having double shots. (Last around 2 weeks 1kg)

I just made an order for the enterprise through here to compare as open to try to find a better coffee for us.
Using a Philips 4300. See how it goes.

      • i have tried two other brands selling their products here. Enterprise is still the best one for me.

  • Just ordered for the first time! Tips for dialling in for the Breville Barista Express? (Smooth blend beans)

    • Not a stepless grinder so get close and alter the dose.

Perfect timing as I’m about to finish the last batch’s order. Fingers crossed they’re posted out tomorrow. Nothing worse then being without for a day or 2 waiting for shipping 😬 but you guys are always pretty quick, so I have faith!
    Cheers.

    • Thanks so much stuarty9 - definitely shipped out tomorrow for you!!

      Cheers
      Dan

Any recommendation for newbie just starting espressos? Thanks.

Hi Canman111 - great question and thanks for asking. I recommend the Enterprise Blend as a great place to start. As mentioned above, if you ever need and guidance when dialling in just shoot me a message [email protected] and I can try and help.

  • Excellent I just finished a bag of Centaur making up a jug of cold brew. Took a bag of Sumatra from the freezer and now I've got an Enterprise and Pegasus on the way to restock. Love my AirJo along with my new DF64 grinder. Very happy coffee snobs here 😄

That's so good to hear Ingram - thank you for sharing!!

  • Anyone tried the Decaf blend?

  • -3

I’m going abroad this Wednesday. Is there any flavour I can get ASAP? I’m in Sydney metro area.

    • +1

I was simply asking a question similar to the others, but for some reason, someone was unhappy and downvoting it.

  • Hi sicaboy - we will ship tomorrow but there's no guarantee it will get to you in time for your travels.

    Cheers
    Dan

    • -1

Thanks, Dan. Is there any blend that can be shipped tomorrow morning?

      • +1

No problem sicaboy. All blends can be shipped tomorrow morning. roughly in order of when order received so sooner you order the sooner it will be processed tomorrow.

        • Sounds like sicaboy needs a coffee addict express option for an extra $5 to jump the queue ;)

  • Hey Dan,

Love your work - any recommendations for cold brew?

    TA

    • Thanks so much TrueArkad88 :) If your enjoy a light roast in the Cold Bew I recommend the Pegasus, otherwise the Stargazer is super popular.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers

As always, I have to say that "a real ozbargainer never pays more than $25 for a bag of coffee beans"

    • Unless you've tried it for yourself and you're speaking from experience, then what's your opinion on this coffee really worth to us?

      • How about you tell us what is special about this coffee which is about 30% more expensive than the half priced coffee beans at Coles/Woolies

I tried Sumatra blend once and it wasn't really anything special!

  • anyone using Breville Oracle and using the Enterprise blend, whats your grind setting?

  • Thanks Dan,

I recently have Breville Barista so just order Enterprise Blend whole beens to try.

    • Great to hear sanglt, good choice!! - thanks so much! Please let me know if you need any help dialing when you get the beans.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Any chance of the decaf coming back in stock before the deal expires?

    • +1

Hey there Chadlington - unfortunately not. next batch due in around 3 weeks.

      Cheers Dan

      • Thanks for the heads up!
