  • Whats the difference between this and the FE version ?
    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/valvoline-valvoline-synp…

    In a 2017 i30 would it make a difference?

Edit: NVM, I added the vehicle to the garage and SC says the FE version is suitable but this posted deal isn't.

    • The FE is A5/B5 which Hyundai ask for. I assume you have a PD i30.

At the end of the day I'm pretty sure the service manual says if A5 is not available then the linked oil would be fine.

    • I’m sure someone somewhere has used it in their 390 V8 Ford FE motor

      • You are showing your age talking about 390's

  • +1

    Good find thanks OP

  • Hi all, I have a 2018 Toyota Kluger 3.5. I checked and it requires 6.1L of engine oil, but those on sale here are all 6L. I'm wondering if 6L would still be fine? and how do I know if I need the FE or normal one? Thanks.

  • Which is better, this one or Castrol Edge?

    • LiquiMoly > Penrite > Valvoline > Castrol (fairly even between Penrite and Valvoline)

Personal opinion. Happy to be corrected. Not going to do a full write up because it is a mix of experience and research on a mixture of 4 cylinder NA and turbo vehicles.
      Your experience may vary.

Pls RE-consider for the enthusiasts-minority…& I hope that you've move-beyond 'synthetic' labeling, lol

        • What do you think about nulon apex?

          Premium-brand, but so are others.

  • 8 liters would be ideal for large diesel SUVs

    • Buy 4 and that will be 3 oil changes.
