32 inch 1440p curved gaming monitor with 165Hz refresh rate. Uses a VA panel
Seems like a decent price, could use to set up a 3 monitor setup. Shipping is also free.
1% surcharge for all payments except BPAY.

why is it terrible?
It's awful for gaming and really anything that has motion (such as scrolling websites) as there's a tonne of blurring/ghosting: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-g5-g5…
It also has VRR flicker so I don't think VRR is even usable in that state.
It's also pretty poor for other use cases as there's a heap of backlight bleed: https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/lCRyUWDI/samsung-odysse… , no swivel, no height adjustment and it can barely tilt so it may be impossible to adjust depending on the desk. Might not be a problem for some but it also handles reflections pretty poorly.
What would you recommend for arond the same price?
@Magik: If you need 32" and gaming then I think the 32" HP Omen is your best bet but the deal just ended I think. If you need 32" and want it for mixed workloads then there's not too many options (at least from what's been posted on Ozbargain). If you need ~32" and don't game https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/875732 (though that's UW and I haven't seen reviews but seems decent based on specs).
Otherwise if you are fine with 27" and mostly game the HP Omen 27", mixed probably https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/875546 and if you can afford $100 more: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/875819 (though it's not the greatest price on it).
I bought the same deal from Centrecom this morning.
I can't justify a $150 monitor with a 75hz refresh, Facebook marketplace is cooked and want slightly less than full price, and I can't commit to the OLED prices yet.
Bought one last sale, decent monitor for the price. Only issue is the plastic/screen 'pops' when turned on as it warms up
you just reminded me how much i miss the satisfying sound of a big-ass CRT monitor being turned on.
This $189 34" 3440 x 1440 refurbished 60Hz IPS monitor still seems like better value imo: https://www.bpctech.com.au/catalog/product/view/id/377529/. Will we be able to beat this value anytime soon?
Nobody is buying 60hz in 2024 😂
60hz for gaming if you hate yourself and gaming
Different inch. OP is 32 whilst yours is 27.
Do not buy this monitor it is absolute garbage, feels flimsy af - no mount adjustment at all with the stand.
Get the G51C.
I repeat do not get this monitor it is garbage.
This is a rather terrible monitor and the price is pretty much the same everywhere: https://i.imgur.com/SVvf5WH.png
