looks good, great price. i bought 1 for no reason. i'll save it for my wife for christmas i guess. lol

  • Can this break ice to make bingsu?

    • +1

It is very strong and can cut ice, but it is not suitable for bingsu. Better get real ice shaver machine.

  • I have found the Aldi ones to do a good job, but they don't seem to last more than a year or two before they fail or start falling apart.

The latest Aldi one worked really well, but the noise level has doubled (as loud as a power tool now), so I suspect it will not last too long.

    Anyone have one of these?

Also, I couldn't see stated warranty period.

    • I don't have those model, but I had the NutraNinja IQ and the blades regularly failed. They were so bad with their warranty, they tried to say the owners should buy new blades every six to nine months! There has never been a single blender, or any whitegoods that required me to buy new parts that frequently (or ever for that matter!).

They also run out of spare parts, probably due to the high failure rate.

I won't buy any of their products again.

  • Is it good for dry grinding? I am looking to buy something which has blending, chopping & grinding option.

    • There is a attachment/jar for dry grinding which does the job reasonably well.

  • +2

Had one and does the job well. The machine failed in 2 years, exactly like the ninja I had before. I am not sure what the warranty is but can't imagine it being more than 2 years. I am looking at replacing it with a Vitamix, more expensive but more warranty as well.

    • The Ninja blades repeatedly failed for me too and now the whole machine has died. I've actually been considering a Vitamix too.

Ninja is a throwaway landfill junk creator brand and not designed to last from my experience. They're designed to sell parts and be replaced. It's a shame as they work ok at times. Everything else similar I've owned has outlived them ten times over and most are still going strong.

  • Take a further $10 off with the code NP10KITCHEN. Not sure if it targeted though.
