  • Does it beat $50 carlinkit?

Is this better than a $40 Raspberry Pi Zero 2?

  • allowing you to pair multiple phones with automatic connection to the last paired device

Am I reading this right, like it can pair to 2 phones and automatically take calls from either one?

Would be good to be able to pair my personal and work phone at once (as some clients have my personal phone for emergency cases)

No, you can pair two devices and it'll only connect to the last paired one. But if that one isn't connected it'll pair the other.

Can confirm. If I ever want my wife's phone to pair, I put mine on airplane mode before I get into the car, then turn it back off once her phone connects.

  • How much better is it than this $11.63 AliExpress dongle, which is working great for me? https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007024472073.html

    • it shows $11 but after I login the price changed to $24

      • Use private browsing and a new email address, you'll get the low price.

    • Similarly, I have a Xuda branded unit from Aliexpress for around $30 and it works great. Not sure about longevity but it was cheap enough to try out wireless CP and AA.

    • How does it take phone calls? I bought the AAWireless recently, and that had some pretty shocking phone call quality.

What if I already have wireless car play/Android Auto? Is this any use to me?

  • -1

Like others have mentioned, many other options that can do the same thing for cheaper.

  • +1

Ottocast for half this price is the winner

  • anyone know if there's an easy way to convert an older info screen (2017 xtrail) to something that supports android / apply carplay?
