  • How much extra would it be for a 10 kW system? Presumably, you could keep the same inverter.

    • To provide an accurate quote for upgrading to a 10kW system, we’ll need a bit more information. Could you please share your address and a photo of your switchboard? This will help us assess the requirements and send you a confirmed price.

20 panels would be 8.8kW but you've advertised this as and 8.36kW system which is 19 panels. So…which is it?

Good offer but I just paid under $1,000 for the same size system with the same GoodWe inverter.

Who did you go with and paid $1000 for similar system?

      • That would not be permitted on this post. It included removal of the old 1.5kW system, installation on concrete tiles and also it's a split level roof.

        • Can you dm me company name?

        • I have sent you a PM too. Please would you mind sharing the info with me as well. Thanks

    • Thanks for catching that. You’re right; it’s changed to 19 panels for an 8.36kW system. Sorry for the mix-up!

Glad to hear you got a good deal on your system. While we strive to offer competitive pricing, we need to ensure our costs cover high-quality tile/tin kits and installation standards. I hope the company you used maintained the necessary safety and compliance measures to avoid shortcuts that could compromise the system.

    • What panels did you get?

      • Risen 440W panels. Nothing fancy but they're still Tier 1.

  • Do you have your own installers or use subcontractors?

    • We use both in-house installers and trusted subcontractors due to the high volume of projects we handle. Rest assured, all installations are covered under warranty by Marshall Energy Solutions, so you’ll have full support and peace of mind no matter who completes the work.

      • How much for a 6.6kW system?

        • +1

Get 13 kw or more based on battery and ev requirements, I think that's the minimum

          • @raj76: If you don't have much appropriate roof space, you can't just get more and more solar panels.

  • I have an almost flat steel corrugated roof. How much extra to provide angled framing to get the ideal 23 degrees for the panels?

    • Tilting the panels - We charge $50 per panel.

Had a system installed in regional vic. Bit of a mixed experience, started out really promising and installation was done within a few weeks which was good.

Unfortunately only after the installation was finished I worked out that they installed the panels slightly differently to what we had arranged, that’s fine obviously they might run into issues on the day.

They strung the panels together completely differently to what was designed, instead of 6 panels in a string on garage they joined 10 together left to right across whole front of the house. Only problem is the far left panel on garage gets shaded early in the afternoon in winter/spring by neighbours tree so affects panels on the whole string rather than the clump that would have otherwise been shaded together anyway.

I’m 1.5 hours from Melbourne and it took 4 weeks for the inspector to come after installation, and around another month to get my meter reprogrammed for FIT after following up with Marshall and then my retailer a few times.

All in all it’s a cheap price to pay for the products, so can’t expect everything to be perfect. The good thing is the system does work as intended and I haven’t noticed any roof leaks yet. Just wish the installers mentioned they were going to change panel string layout.

You’re more forgiving than I would have been.

  • I had an 8.36kW system installed early October along with a switch board upgrade to replace our old ceramic fuse based board.

Sad to say, the switchboard upgrade was not completed satisfactorily - all our circuits are wired differently and we can no longer use some of our lights (trips multiple circuit breakers).

I am hopeful that Marshall will resolve this, however you may want to consider getting any additional electrical work done by someone else prior to the solar install - their price for the switch oard upgrade was similar to other quotes I received and I only went with them for convenience.

The product quality seems fine and the panels were installed with only three broken tiles so no complaints there.

    • Hey UNM

Sorry about this, this isn’t the experience we aim to provide. Could you please email us your details so we can review the situation and get it resolved as soon as possible?

      • I emailed on 9th November.

        Would appreciate a response.

        • Still no response…

  • Would Marshall Energy replace my roof tiles if they break it?

    • No you need to supply your own roof tiles which is standard practice, there is so many different styles.

  • Thanks Brick50, if I supply my own roof tiles, Marshall Energy will piece them back to replace the broken tiles? Sorry, never tried to do roof work myself so not sure how this works.

    • We replace any broken tiles with spare ones on installation day.
