Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 60 days of purchase for cashback to be eligible.

  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it may result in an untracked purchase and will be ineligible for cashback. The existing customer rate will therefore apply to subsequent orders.

  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Customer status (new or existing) for Lyca Mobile generally entails a new mobile number and/or email address. Lyca Mobile has sole discretion on determining status and acting upon fraudulent and/or excessive transactions as they deem necessary. TopCashback has no control over this.

  • eSIMs are eligible for cashback, but must be activated within 60 days of purchase.

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.

  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction.

  • Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.

  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 100 days of purchase.

Enjoy!

It's a sad day when 5¢ is "nice profit"

  • So can I be a new customer today if I bought one earlier in the week? As long as I get a new number

    • The existing customer rate will therefore apply to subsequent orders.

      • @tightarse Are you able to confirm what the new customer requirements are?

  • Max 2 activations per person

  • Lyca Mobile

    Every. single. time.
The double take-mistake-reading it as Lycra Mobile

Glad I'm not the only one lol

  • Anyone know why their online chat is offline and not working?

  • Anyone else have trouble with the online activation process? It just says “in progress”, and tells me it can take up to 24 hours (which have now lapsed). No confirmation email or anything.

  • Bringing your own number to an E Sim is a nightmare.

    Lyca's FAQ is pretty terrible.

    • I thought esim would be easy

      • did you do it yet?

        • Decided not to try

  • esim activation failed, support email address on order confirmation email is wrong

  • failed to port the old number in after following the steps online, had to call the customer support, took long time, not recommended
BTW, I had to ask customer service to disable the autorechage as I couldn't make it done online by myself.

  • um WARNING. the customer service staff are rude af. call enter is based overseas I think in India. I confronted them but they become more angry and dismissive. don't expect any customer service. disgusting.

the staff was Chewing (lunch maybe) while talking to me, OMG
then he lied to me, he said he was drinking

      • lol! accurate!! lmao. omg. XDD

  • Bought esim, and got esim profile email instantly. Downloaded the app, chose "Activate my SIM" at the beginning, filled up all the info, indeed with fields to choose the previous provider and to fill up the previous number, showing me "Activation successfully, SMS sent fail" after verifying the licence. Then fortunately I got a new number. Tried "Switch to Lyca Mobile", and filled up the info, stuck at the loading page forever. Have to call them tomorrow, and dunno if cs can help me out.

Same thing happened on me yesterday and yes cs can fix it but you have to be patient, it took me 4 hours to be able to make a call

      • Thanks for the info. Lucky me, only took me 10 min to call the cs. And currently waiting for the transfer to finish.

  • Unless it's the first time you're using Lyca and only planning on activating one sim, avoid, not worth the time and effort.
Activated 1 without issue, unable to activate the 2nd 2 weeks later, error saying I've reach maximum registration, but I have no other active sims, and last time I used lyca was a very long time ago, on the phone told me to send an email to deregister previous ones and needing to send in the new sim details along with ID. This company is not well run, are they profiting from selling sims that people can't activate!

    • Thanks for the info.

From the T&Cs on their website:
3.9 Activation limits: An individual may activate a maximum of five (5) SIM cards, regardless of the type of identification used (e.g.: driver licence, passport, etc.). Any attempts to activate more than five SIM cards under any combination of IDs will be subject to denial. This policy is in place to ensure regulatory compliance and to prevent misuse.

This possibly means that they hold on to your data indefinitely even after your SIMs have died, which I'm not too happy about.

I got two SIMs from last month's deal and I probably won't use them again anyway.

      • I'm not liking how I need to send my ID to a general customer service email address, maybe they'll even save it on their files. I can't believe I'm doing it for just 10G.

        • That's super sus, thanks for the heads up

  • Where is the $7.50 10GB sim card deal? Has it expired? Not on their site. I'm looking for a "free" 1 month sim with data

  • I placed an order with $7.50 SIM at 5:44PM Melbourne time. No tracking yet (1h20m later).

That deal is not available on the website anymore now. Not liking my chance of having them tracked.

  • Do purchases show up immediately under My Visited Merchants? I bought one but it's only showing under My Browsed Merchants.

Edit: I received an email stating the order tracked. This was my first time using TC.
