  • Which one is the latest model?

    • +3

Gen 5, not on sale at the moment.

Which one sucks long human hairs? say 30-45 cms

    • I think all newer dyson vacuum heads have the anti-tangle ability.
At least my standard V12 has this and the vacuum head across these models all looks to be the same (except the submarine one of course)

They are all capable. Look for the Hair Screw tool. Of the ones listed above, the V15 and V15S come with it.

The Dyson Hair screw tool has an anti-tangle conical brush bar that spirals hair off and into the bin

Have you tried a Suck Cut? It sucks, as it cuts.

      /very careful typing

      • +2

        It really does suck

        • Looks like you are using the vacuum for a purpose other than what was intended

asking the real questions. I like it

      ?
      I am speechless

  • Code doesn't work :(

    • +2

It does work, I tested on each of these Dyson myself.
Unless your are not using an Aust account…

I’m still dirty that they won’t allow a software update to use the submarine head on the standard v15 😂

    • Not working on Gen5. They absolutely could make it compatible of they wanted to.

    • Later V15's have the software version that works with it.

  • Honestly it's weird, like they don't want gen 5 to succeed. It's existence is ignored everywhere

used the sub head afew times, leaves streaks on the edges of the roller, think I'm just going back using the mop.

  • Any reason to pick the v15 over the v10? I've got a mid-sized townhouse with carpet.

    • +1

The Dyson V15 Detect is a better overall vacuum than the Dyson Cyclone V10. The V15 clears more debris on bare floors, and low- and high-pile carpets. It's also easier to store thanks to its included wand clip, which allows you to hang two different tools on the vacuum. Meanwhile, the V10 is lighter and takes much less time to charge despite offering similar overall runtime.

      Comparison.

      • I agree the V15 is the better vacuum, but LOL at the reviewer talking about the wand/tool clip as it is something that would really influence the choice of unit. It's like a $10 buy on Aliexpress or eBay, or $19 at Dyson.

    Give us a v12 deal!!!

    • +1

V12 isn't that enticing imo because its accessories aren't interchangeable with the rest of the Dyson lineup (except for the Omni Glide). But yeah it's smaller and lighter for a reason.

Great deal on a coin battery!!

The mop attachment is terrible. Have had it replaced by Dyson twice (so 3 heads including the original). The plastic cracks and water leaks out. Would avoid.

  • a submarine vacuum….. I'm surprised someone didn't invent this concept years ago! I mean, they did try steam driven subs.

  • After much due diligence,I'm getting a cordless Shark Detect Pro….

  • hope there's Gen 5 discount soon

  • Got the v15 submarine as a gift, not very happy with it. The vac is alright for around the house, best stick vac I've used. The mop head is just a gimmick, nothing beats a normal mop.
Currently have the vac in for service though, think the motor died. Same issue in this community page, doesn't really fill me with confidence that it won't happen again. https://community.dyson.com/general-discussion-132/vacuum-v1…
