Good vac, hovering around that ATL price… RRP is inflated but still a decent price.

gen5 slightly more powerful from memory… everything slightly better… but i don't think anyone would notice the difference… same price get the gen5… if v15 cheaper get the v15…
I believe gen5 has a physical on/off switch instead of a trigger you have to hold in if that is important to you.
For additional 50$ extra you can get Detail cleaning kit accessories if purchased directly from Dyson.

Better all round deal with 10% cashback
With who?
I couldn't understand what accessories you mean. It seems that all cleaning heads are the same in both stores (Amazon and Dyson)
Under the price it states:
Receive a complimentary Detail cleaning kit, valued at $99.It includes:
*Scratch-free dusting brush
Gentle on delicate surfaces. Self-cleaning – a rotating cuff keeps the soft bristles clear of dust.
*Awkward gap tool
Long and narrow, with a 22° twist to clean car storage compartments, tight gaps and hard-to-reach places.
*Extension hose
Adds up to 61cm of flexible reach to any non-powered tool attachment.
Would this be a significant improvement over a Dreame V11?
Yes
can you still mod the battery?
maybe
I wish they have discount on gen 5 again. Missed the deal in Aug
$836 from Dyson eBay using SNSM11

this worked!! thank you so much hehe
@ shxhshzhz … Got one, thank you… Code worked
In terms of suction power, how would it be compared to the popular corded miele one?
Tia
Corded Miele wins on carpet BUT the difference is a lot less than it used to be.
Basically same performance on hard flooring. Carpet harder to say as it's been quite a few years since we sold our Miele C3. I'd say it's within 10%
Thank you
I hope Gen5 Detect goes on sale during Black Friday 🤞
I only have hard floor in a 2 bed apartment, and like to vacuum my car every week. In my opinion:
The cheapest Dyson vacuum that comes with the soft fluffy head is more than adequate for hard floor. Even a $15 Kmart vacuum has enough suction for hard floor, but obviously there are justifiable benefits with the Dyson. (V8 Absolute looks to be the cheapest with the fluffy hard floor head?)
Greater suction power and vacuum head technology mainly benefits carpet - for which I had a corded Shark in my previous residence.
Detail cleaning kit accessories look good for vacuuming my car.
The submarine models basically just wet your floor instead of mop them - an old traditional mop is superior. Is my assessment accurate? Happy to be corrected before I bite the bullet on this pricey purchase.
Whats the difference between this and gen5 absolute?
