found this odd looking torch/light 675lm is pretty bright for a thin candy bar sized torch. it uses new COB LED's which seem to be LED's that are mounted directly to the electronic board underneath. it's got a magnetic end and a clip on the back as well.
because it's thin the battery is probably small but at least it fully charges in only 1 hour via USB-C.
review says they got 12 hours use but depends on brightness.
the light that comes out of the thin "end" doesn't sound like it will be that bright with only a "normal" mode mentioned. the yellow big COB area on the side has low, med, high modes (assume 675lm). IPX4 and 2 metre shock resistant apparently. weighs 45grams.
also can anyone tell me some quick benefits and downsides to COB?? from what I can tell they always have them right next to each other often like 10~20 LED's in a rectangle shape, does this mean they don't get as hot compared to normal LED's??
