Yeah Sonos Beam up is what I would go for.
very happy with my Beam+Sub mini+symfonisk rears setup.
Probably not quite as good as the similarly priced Samsung soundbar though, having had an older Samsung atmos setup.
Only 8Gb, No deal!
256gb ssd not enough in 2024
No Band 28 or NFC, no thanks
No Band28? do people say that anymore?
You just did
How hard or how much more expensive is it for a company to include HDMI eARC?
It's only "much cheaper" than JB thanks to the eBay coupon, not cos Good Guys were nice enough to beat them … only matched them :P
JB perks + gift cards is cheaper anyway
JB and Good Guys are literally the same company. They appear to be competitors to the unaware consumer to create the image of artificial pricing competition
No NFC, no deal
Need a quality sound bar, sick of using my TV audio. Is this not it?
It will be better than your TV, and it's good quality. If that's your only criteria? This is mostly for people that want to spend way more on all the add-ons like sub, rear speakers, front speakers etc.
I dont think people will be buying this and spending the extra on the Sub and rears. if you were gonna do that you'd at least get the Beam.
True, maybe just for a slight upgrade on tv sound only then
@onlinepred: I'd say so.
I want add ons but not for some of the ridiculous price tags I've seen it that makes sense?
I'm after a true ozbargain deal 🫱🏻🫲🏾 🤣
all just depends on price you want to spend, this is a good entry level sonos. has downsides like no atmos because no eArc. At $225 its a good for a cheap soundbar. i have a Sonos arc on my tv and i swear by it and sonos products.
Can wait for a deep discount on a Samsung one for about same price with hdmi, always $100-150 off plus whatever discount you can add on (welcome come or discounted gift cards) at JB.
Havnt been able to use sonos products since the app update 6+ months ago. Error after error while trying to reste even after multiple factory resets and using IOS / Android devices to setup.
Would avoid sonos alltogether now
Thankfully I managed to recover but had a similar scare like this after power out. Took me a few hours of reattempts and different steps to get there.
The new app + firmware update is scary stuff, very little confidence in the stability these days. Scared every time it forces an update, which unfortunately they seem to do if they ever power off.
As soon as I heard about the emerging app issues, I deleted it and left it to Spotify to manage our home speakers. It appears that even the 28 October update hasn't fully resolved the issues…
Just to offer a balanced view - I’ve had no issues with my Sonos system since the app update. We have an Arc + 2x ones + sub, another One in the kitchen, beam gen 2 in the spare room. So I’m definitely bought into the system.
Need to somehow convince my wife that we shoudl get this for our bedroom lol.
No deal, no thanks
thanks no deal no
Why would you get this instead of this https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hisense-21-ch-soundbar-hs2100
Which comes with a subwoofer and hdmi arc?
Cheaper elsewhere too.
Can we stop upvoting non-deals?
Comparing a Hisense soundbar to a Sonos soundbar. One is a higher end brand and the other not so much.
And yet the Hisense has better reviews… judge a book by its cover eh
Ok champ lol
@krushgroove: https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/reviews/best/budget literally from the same reviewer but "ok champ lol"
Who cares what the brand is, don't buy into the marketing.
They are both budget soundbars with huge design compromises, only the Hisense one at least had a half-assed 'sub' for more air displacement.
It's like saying that if Mercedes somehow came out with a 15k car it would automatically be better than a 15k Kia, because one is a higher end 'brand name' rather than both being built down to a price point.
$249 at these stores until 6th Nov… Still Okay-ish, but the ebay was a better deal.
No HDMI input, optical only.
