More reviews that not are saying resealed

    • There's people doing that a lot on pokemon products.

Pretty sure these are exclusive to amazon (specifically amazon US, so don't think there's any dodgy 3rd party seller stuff going on.

I'm sure the likely explanation is that that its a combination of clueless people and people trying to scam amazon out of a refund when they don't get a big hit.

Nope. I bought two 151 UPC and first box was tampered with.

No promo cards and each pack was opened and rates removed.

I didn't bother opening the other box as I realised the plastic was different and it had been resealed.

        • If this happens, can you lodge a complaint and get your money back? I always wondered what the process was…

          • @Out of office: yes, amazon are very lenient with that kind of stuff.

          • @Out of office: Yup I got my money back.

            It was from Amazon US.

I bought from Amazon UK and AU and I haven't had issues.

        • Who was the seller and shipper?
Can you provide a screen shot?

  • I've ordered 4 boxes of the tins (so 20 tins total)

I had ordered 4 boxes of the pokeballs from a previous deal, which also had reviews on amazon claiming they were resealed. ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871579 )
But out of my 4 boxes, I had no issues at all. Pulls were weak in 2 boxes, then good in another 2. There was zero sign of tampering.

As I said in reply to XJX:
These, just like the pokeball deal, are amazon exclusives, so it's not like there is some dodgy 3rd party seller involved.
I'm sure the likely explanation for the negative reviews claiming they're resealed is that that its a combination of clueless people and people trying to scam amazon out of a refund when they don't get a big hit.

    • What happens if someone buys it, opens them, reseals and then returns to Amazon? Do they resell?

      • I don't believe for a second that someone would go through all that effort for some fusion strike packs.
You wouldn't have to just unseal, check and re-seal the booster packs.

        You'd have to reseal:
        The Booster packs
        The tins (plastic wrapped)
And the box they are in (sticky tape around them)

And I don't think anyone is perfectly removing the sticky tape from the boxes, let alone the rest.

Pretty sure any returned stuff they deem worth selling is listed in the "amazon warehouse/resale" section (see https://www.amazon.com.au/b?ie=UTF8&node=8415198051 )

Not Pokémon cards, but two cooking items I’ve ordered a week apart from different sellers on Amazon have been used, broken, poorly repacked, returned and then sold to me - one of them had fingerprints in dried flour paste on the surface

    • why do you want the deal removed?

      • Sold out now anyway.

      • Probably because of the reviews saying they are resealed

        • +1

The reviews are compiled for tbe item, no necessarily the seller. I have never had resealed items from Amazon and i only order items sold by Amazon au, us, uk etc.

          Back in stock at $75

  • I opened three of these packs, 15 tins in total.
No good pulls, altogether the cards are worth around $10, very disappointing. In one pack the energy and code card were at the back of the stack, like for SV packs. Not sure if this is a sign of tempering.
Did anyone get any good pulls out of those.
They are still available at Amazon for $72.

    • Nah mate, that's not a surprise at all.
As I linked in the post, this set has less hit rates because some idiot stole a lot from the factory.

I also opened 3 packs of the tines (15 tins total) and I managed to pull an espeon vmax which I've since sold.
      The rest was junk.
      So I broke even.

      • What's this about someone stealing from the factory?

      • Sounds like a reason for class action against the Pokemon company? I opened countless fusion strike over the years and only got junk, same with chilling reign.
