Looks like the packs might be Fusion Strike, Lost Origin and Silver Tempest, based on one of the reviews made in August. YMMV.

    • +2

Was just adding that :) it makes it an even better deal if that is true. Lost Origin and Fusion Strike packs are selling for around $10pp at the moment.

  • +2

Why not just say $60.33 delivered, because it's already above the minimum spend for free delivery?

    • +1

I don't know, i just copy and paste titles from other posts and change my bit.

Im a 13 year Ozbargain Rookie.

  • +1

If you buy two you get another 9% off so it's $109.80 for 2 packs - $54.90 Each 😄 - there is a box to tick

    • Wanna share an order? I cant justify over $100 but I can do $55

    • Oops, I had that in my post and removed it. You can see the calculation for 18 packs though!

  • +1

They do indeed have the lost origin, fusion strike and silver tempest.

See example here of an opening kf these exact products https://youtu.be/O4RkAynqLv4

    • You never know for sure as Pokemon is known for repacking old stock with new SV packs. See the Amazon Eevee tins for example.

      • +1

As far as I'm aware, this specific packaging for the 3 packs (the cardboard) is amazon exclusive and only has the ones shown in the video.
But you're right, I could be entirely wrong.

Fingers crossed one of us Pulls a 'Tina, Lugia and Gengar!

Seems expensive for 9 packs.. What am I missing.

    • +6

      Balls

    • +2

The packs in them are out of print and have some very expensive chase cards.

      • +1

Lost Origin - Giratina V - its like $600 ungraded.

        • +1

And its a stunning card. I bought the single for $320 after having 0 luck from a couple hundred packs…

          • @hypie: Its probably the best looking modern card. Right up there with Van Gough Pikachu and Magikarp alt art or <insert fave card here>

        • Really weird- I ordered two x 3 packs and they seemed dodgy, like they were opened and resealed and cards were all out of order- of the 18 packs only 2 valuable cards and zero holos for 17 packs but got the Giratina V in what my son says is PSA 9.5 or 10 condition. Makes me doubt it is real as it seemed someone had tampered with packs but will send off for grading. My son is the resident pokemon guru and is 100% certain it is real. Cue lots of kids jumping up and down…

Hmm, not that great a price per pack - though SWSH getting rarer, but still… Pack are always squished/damaged in these balls, especially from Amazon :(

    • Considering LO and FS booster boxes sell for $350. I would say its a great price per pack.

I've never ordered the balls before, but no issues with the other products I've ordered from Amazon. Some slight corner dings, but nothing too substantial.

  • +2

this is actually a great deal if you get two sets. $54 per 3 pack, $18.30 per Pokeball, $6.10 per pack.

  • +1

Thanks, got two. Hoping to find some fusion strike, lost origins and silver tempest. The main 3 I have been looking for recently.

    • Were they the packs?

      • Yes they are, I got mine today.

      • Yep, can also confirm.

  • Anyone in SYDNEY (CBD or Inner West) wanna split one with me if I buy 2? We can get the lower price.

    • +1

      YOU GUYS ALL SUCK!

  • Are the pokeballs a premium build? would love a set for display in my office to add a bit of colour but not interested if they are cheap feeling/looking.

As good a quality plastic as money can buy
Nothing like the metal tins though

      • +1

It says they're metal, and they're clearly metal based on the video posted above.

  • I have a hypothesis for these exclusive packs, like Amazon exclusive, Target exclusive, etc.
The Pokemon company sells booster packs of different quality to resellers. Lower priced packs with a low percentage of good cards, and normal packs with a standard percentage of good cards. Maybe more categories.
Because for some exclusive products the pull rates are like non existent it feels, while other products have quite good pull rates.
    Anyone has similar experience?

So I wonder how the pull rates of these Amazon exclusive balks are?

    • +1

Unfortunately i think its all in your head. The pull rates of modern sets are TOUGH. The odds of pulling a TM Greninja have been calculated at around 1 in 941 packs.

Let that sink in… you need to buy 26 booster boxes to get the chase card.

That is $4654 at current prices. Just buy the single if you really want it.

I've had the same luck from Gameology/Catch/Target as I do from Amazon…. no luck at all.

Batching is also a bit of a problem, i once pulled two 151 Charizard and Blastoise full arts in two booster bundles ordered from Amazon at the same time.

      • Unfortunately I agree. But that's the game

        • It’s not just about the chase card. When you open pack after pack and the most you get is a crappy V worth 50 cents, then something seems seriously off.

          • @cbrbargain: And by the way I was talking about store exclusive boxes. That is Amazon apptroaches Pokemon and says we want an exclusive box. Then my guess is the Pokemon company offers them packs with higher or lower probability for higher or lower price.
I’m sure the Pokemon company can control the probability of good cards in their packs.

Bought one, fingers crossed, please share pack success stories

    • Got jack all 3 v cards, fun pack opening though

  • +1

Anyone got theirs and opened them?

  • +1

I opened both packs, 6 balls. Altogether I got 11 “pulls” which are together worth $23. So while the pull rate is not too bad, I only got cheap cards. The most expensive one was a Regidrago VSTAR. Not worth it.

    • +2

      It is gambling.
If it makes you better, I had about $8 worth of hits with the 6 pokeballs (18 packs) that I opened.
      lol

  • +1

Mine arrived on Monday - no damage. Fun rip!

  • Opened 6 balls, was a fun rip but nothing valuable, a couple of $3 full arts and V's.
